My Dad and brother bought one of those things a few years back and had us all drooling with anticipation, and the same thing happened, they couldn't get the oil hot enough.

We have kielbasa all the time, but alas, it was not available to us that day. As I recall, they cut up the turkey into smaller bits and cooked it using both the microwave and the oven. Dinner was still late, but they got the turkey. My Dad was so annoyed he boxed up the fryer and stuffed it in a closet. We haven't seen it since.

I did the shopping thing and thought we were only going to get a couple of items, but there were actually more bargains at the stores than advertised, so we made a good dent in our shopping for the season. And it got me out of bed.Virginia Ladyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16641613214603672322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4395293021442031324.post-23548776784358452502007-11-24T17:01:00.000-05:002007-11-24T17:01:00.000-05:00LOL! We've had that happen and the guys got creative because the wind was blowing the flame from pot...so we got a good laugh as they built a wall around the fryer to protect it from the wind. Have a good weekend!Chelle Sandellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03813658527826989105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4395293021442031324.post-74563480435118651232007-11-24T07:32:00.000-05:002007-11-24T07:32:00.000-05:00That's a hilarious story. My son-in-law (the chef) did most of the cooking, so the food was spectacular.

Didn't really shop yesterday, but I ventured into the dollar store and Wal-Mart about 1:00.

Still trying to finish my ch. 9 to upload to RAH. Hopefully today...Chicki Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01866110558880351017noreply@blogger.com
