I'd expect them to be somewhat different in size and scope to where I work (I'm from Singapore). In anycase, seems to me your libraries ought to reinvent themselves to become more of spaces to allow social interactions rather than a warehouse of books. Just my 2-cents. :)Ivan Chewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02727226573817276108noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4395293021442031324.post-19716617583561907182007-03-07T10:45:00.000-05:002007-03-07T10:45:00.000-05:00Our town is pretty small but they are wonderful ab...Our town is pretty small but they are wonderful about childrens activities. They also allow the homeschool groups to meet and order books. I'm sure Oklahoma City has a much larger sized library and more than one. I used to study at the one near OU while in college and it is really nice.Chelle Sandellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03813658527826989105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4395293021442031324.post-58079224816772675202007-03-07T09:42:00.000-05:002007-03-07T09:42:00.000-05:00HA! They even have the Harlequin/Silhouette books too.Jennifer Shirkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16970585847385511795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4395293021442031324.post-83049056222286568232007-03-07T09:26:00.000-05:002007-03-07T09:26:00.000-05:00Atlanta has some wonderful libraries. The new one ...Atlanta has some wonderful libraries. The new one in Lovejoy has a fireplace where they do storytime in the winter. The Fayette library is one of the prettiest I've ever seen. That's where I attended an event called "Romance is a Many Splendored Thing" last month.

I must admit that I use the libraries to attend functions only. I buy all my books, and when I want to hang out, I do the coffee shops and bookstores.Chicki Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01866110558880351017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4395293021442031324.post-37778122177085912112007-03-07T08:09:00.000-05:002007-03-07T08:09:00.000-05:00I've got a big 3 story library close by, but I hav...I've got a big 3 story library close by, but I haven't been in it in years. I'm sure I would be if I had small children, but I don't. And, I buy all my books. So, no need for the library!

It's great that they're doing this. More places should be doing something to encourage reading. For young people and adults.Elle Fredrixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09312360781041140748noreply@blogger.com
