Not So Super Ads
IN THE NEWS: According to the the Press of Atlantic City, Saturday, an eight month pregnant woman playing the penny slots at Resorts in Atlantic City started to feel labor pains that she mistook for gas. Wrong! A little while later the woman's water broke and she ended up giving birth to a 5lb boy on the casino floor. Both baby and mom are doing fine.
Well, aside from the opening kick-off, the Superbowl wasn't very exciting. But I'm very happy the Colts won--particularly since they dominated the game and it would have been a shame if they'd lost because of the weather and how slippery the ball was.
So let's get down to the real poop: the commercials.
My hubby and I thought it was a weak year for them. I actually ended up reading the paper (hence the Atlantic City news above) during the commercials because I started to get bored. I expected to laugh and be entertained between the game and instead I ended up hoping they weren't going to replay some of them.
But two caught my attention and tickled my funny bone. Coincidentally, they were both Bud Light commercials. In the second quarter, it was "The Slap" and in the 4th quarter, it was "The Hitchhiker". For a laugh, check them out: http://sports.aol.com/nfl/superbowlads
What was your favorite commercial?

I read during the game too! Since I don't have a clue what's going on on the field, I was just there to see Prince and the commercials. My favorites were the wedding with the auctioneer and the one with the slap. Hilarious!!!!
I did think Prince was fantastic. That was the best halftime show since Michael Jackson back in the early 90's.
Well, since I don't watch the game I don't see the commercials, but I did read this morning that two commercials, one for Doritos and one for Chevy, were either made, or dreamed up by amateurs.
Were they any good?
I missed the Dorito one, because it was during the first quarter and I had to bathe my daughter for bedtime. I'll go check it out now.
Prince was good. But Billy Joel sounded RUSTY with the National Anthem!!!
Mine was the Chevy commercial where all the guys strip and try to wash the car...it said all guys wanted to get their hands on a Chevy. My 4 yr old started dancing! And I liked the auctioneer marriage for Bud Light too. Sounds like something my hubby's friend would do cause he's so goofy. And I like Prince's "Purple Rain" so that was great! Game sucked though cause we are Chicago fans. Several of our OU former college boys play for them now.
Didn't watch the game but heard about the commercials, something about men stripping when they saw a car (Chevy??). I would have liked to see Prince play, though.
Will check on posted chapters starting tomorrow.

I don't remember any of the commercials. I was for the Bears. :(
