Thursday Thirteen #9

As I was downloading songs to my Ipod, I discovered something. Namely, that my taste in music is eclectic. LOL! And that I actually own 13 movie soundtracks.
So here are the Thirteen Movie Soundtracks
I have in my CD collection

1…. Big Night Soundtrack ** Remember this movie? Yeah, me either. But it does have great "dinner music" selections on the soundtrack.

2....Batman Forever Soundtrack **I think I bought this for a song that they constantly played on General Hospital whenever Jax and Brenda were together.

3....Romy and Michele's High School Reunion **80's music baby.

4....The X-Files Movie Album ** I KNOW I bought this during my X-Files "phase".

5....My Best Friend's Wedding **Awesome soundtrack.

6....American Graffiti** Hey, I like the oldies, too.

7....Dumb and Dumber Soundtrack **Sorry. I really don't know what I was thinking. In fact, I'd like to blame this one on my hubby, but I know it was me who bought it.

8....The Blues Brothers Soundtrack **There's a lot of good blues music on this.

9....Clueless Soundtrack **Hey, don't laugh! Mighty Mighty Bosstones are on this one. (And the movie was pretty good, too)

10....Saturday Night Fever **Doesn't everyone have this?

11...Grease **Again. I think this is an automatic given in anyone's CD case.

12....City of Angels Soundtrack **The ending to this movie really bugged me, but the music was good.

13....You've Got Mail Soundtrack ** A lot of "fun" music on this, including Jimmy Durante and Louis Armstrong.

Well, that's it. So, does this give you any clue into my psyche?

Hah...I've got some of those! LOL. But another one is the Hugh Grant movie soundtrack to Nine Months. It's got some Van Morrison on it.

Wow, that made me think. I'm not big on buying soundtracks, although I love the music while I'm watching the movie. The only ones I recall buying are Dirty Dancing and West Side Story. Ooh, I'm really telling my age here...

Hi, followed this link from Tempest Knights TT.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one out here that owns the Blues Brothers soundtrack.

Yep, I love and collect movie soundtracks, too, but mine tend to be historical movies--all of the Merchant Ivory soundtracks, Rob Roy, Braveheart, Open Range, Dances with Wolves, etc.

I love the Blues Brother's sound track, and Saturday Night Fever would have to be a classic.

I used to be able to sing the whole Grease soundtrack. Back when there was no such thing as an MP3 player, I wore out my cassette tape.

The only soundtracks I remember ever buying were from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn and Titanic. But I do remember a lot of the music from the ones you have -- loved Romy and Michelle. :D

My problem with the City of Angels ending is... why didn't SHE come back as an angel???

Not getting into the whole creationism debate, but have you been to the creationist museum yet? It's in my general area. (I'm in Cincinnati.)

Thanks for stopping by my TT!
