Zippety Doo Dah Parade

IN THE NEWS: According to World Magazine, termites infested a bank's safe deposit box and ate through paper money and investment notes that a Northeast Indian man planned to use for his retirement. The man will have trouble getting the $16,000 back, though, since authorities at the Central Bank of India say they are only responsible for human threats.

Wow. I totally forgot to post my pictures of the Doo Dah parade that was last Saturday. (So here they are)
Captain and Mrs. Noah were the Grand Marshalls. Ummm... You probably never heard of them unless you lived in or around the Philadelphia area, but I definitely remember their show when I was growing up. That and The Al Alberts show. Oh, and Chief Halftown, too.

But I digress...

"Elvis" was there.
And Lucille Ball.
And of course, the Basset Hounds. My hubby said there were about 500 doggie marchers.

Look at this joker... (Sorry, I couldn't resist)

Isn't she cute?

My daughter is a BIG fan of parades, so she made me snap plenty of pictures of the dressed up doggies. But I'll stop here. They were all adorable, though.

I'm off to the dentist today and then maybe a do a critique or two.

Funny! When I was a kid I also loved parades. This looks like the Christmas Parade we have here in Jonesboro.

:) Elvis looks sexy, but I have to say that the basset hound driving the golf cart takes the cake.

:( I don't like dentists...blegh.

I love the dog pix! I'll have to send this link to my sister-in-law, who has a basset puppy. I can just see him dressed up like this. :)
