Pre-T-Day!

IN THE NEWS: New Technology Helps Retailers Catch Shoplifters. Read more HERE.

Ok. I lied when I said I was only going to do three things yesterday. I did like four or five things and NO WRITING. Wah! There's still so much to do before Thanksgiving. I knew this would happen. I knew it would just sneak up on me and I'd freak out. This always happens to me.

-You'd think I'd learn-

Anyway, I really don't have time to post anything. I still have to rinse all my china and crystal and iron my tablecloth. On the plus side, I already made my homemade cranberry sauce and it is out of this world (if you like cranberries). And my gingerbread for my trifle also came out delicious. There's extra, too!

I went to the store yesterday (for my ginger) and I bought some of that cooking twine to tie my turkey legs. So, the store clerk (who is older than me) says, "Oh, did you just get a cat?"
I look at her. She was serious. So I say, "No, it's for my turkey."
Then she says, "Oh, do you still have to tie it? I don't think you have to do that anymore."

You don't?

Needless to say, I was confused. Why would they sell it, then??? And why would she automatically assume I just bought a cat? Who says stuff like that?

Anyhew, speaking of cats... here's something my friend sent me. I thought it was cute. (If you like cats) :)

and the sequel:

Are you all ready for Thanksgiving?

I just use twist ties on the turkey. :)

Yesterday I did most of the cleaning. Today I'm cooking and going to an early sale to get a new MP3 player then I'll clean the upstairs bathroom. Sheesh, I'm tired already ...

No! AHHHH!!!

There, I feel better now, thanks. The answer...no, I'm not quite done with the preparations. Not even close.

Looks like we may be snowed in so I'm not stressing. It may be just the two of us at the table tomorrow. Very cozy.

Most of the frozen turkeys have that plastic thing over the leg ends. Pop it off to wash and clean turkey. Pop it back on to roast.

Of course, you'll need the twine if you have a fresh turkey.

No plans yet. Nothing. I'm scouring the Food Network for one or two new recipes to go along with the old standards. Haven't shopped yet. I'll pull it all together after work.

You know Thanksgiving sounds awful stressful. While I like the idea behind the day all that work doesn't sound so good. I'm sure you'll make it and have a great day.

That is one talented cat!

Cats playing pianos ROCKS. And we're all ready for Thanksgiving. I wish I could eat it today.

Ok, call me a stalker or what have you, but I totally just bought the ingredients for your trifle. I can't wait to try it!

I'm not ready for thanksgiving. My gallbladder weeps any time I look at anything fattening these days.

Have a great day tomorrow!
