Behold...the book

MENTAL STATUS: "Thrilled". (See below)

Aren't they pretty? They're beautiful in person.

My book...

**sigh**

Ooops. So sorry. Where was I? Oh, yeah.

My book...

Of course once they arrived, I tore open the box and flipped through all the pages. That night I even read it--to make sure everything looked okay. But you know what I discovered? My voice has CHANGED. Really changed. Isn't that funny? The whole time I was reading it, I thought, "This doesn't sound like me." It's surreal that way. But I guess it's all about growth as a writer, and recognizing it for what it is.

Have you seen the growth in your own writing?

Congrats on your book! I didn't read mine again... still haven't. I read that sucker so many times in edits, I can't face it yet.

BTW, the snow on your blog? Must. Go. It's nearly spring and your snow is giving my weather ideas. Just saying...

Having a glass of non-alcoholic bubbly with you!

Your voice has changed. I see the difference between this book and Sunni's story. You still have a great humorous tone, but you're deeper into the feelings and emotions.

Lately I've seen the change in my writing because I took a thread from my third manuscript to use in my current WIP. I practically had to rewrite it! Every time I go back and look at one of my earlier stories, I'm thankful no one published me back then!

Oh man, they're lovely! How exciting! And yes, I've noticed my voice has changed, but I've also written several genres. I think that's had something to do with it too.

How exciting! I can't wait to order it!

And yes, I've definitely seen the growth in my own writing, more specifically since I starting writing this last book I'm working on. It's a great feeling to know you've grown, but even greater to realize YOU'RE PUBLISHED!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations, Jennifer.

I'm like Chicki. It's almost embarrassing to look back. But it's wonderful to know that you've grown. Just hope my first published work is one that I won't be too embarrassed by years later.

Congratulations!
Sometimes I think it's changed for the better, sometimes for the worse. LOL

Those books are absolutely gorgeous!

I don't really know if my voice has changed, I am so sick of my first novel that I can't stand to look at it and my new WIP is a totally different style anyway. Hmmm... interesting question though.

Congratulations! They look very pretty. I don't read my stuff again for ages. I read it so often during the edit stage that I definitely need time-out before I can face it again. :)

Big congratulations! What an exciting moment!

I don't read my books again for a long time after they come out. It's definitely a case of having read them so many times during edits. Nope, I just stick them on the bookshelf and stand back and grin. :-)
