Daylight Smackdown

MENTAL STATUS: "Ugh". Did anyone else get hit as hard by this loss of one hour?

I know I'm late blogging. But in actuality my body still thinks it's after eight in the morning. I went to bed last night at 9:30 p.m.--which I suppose was 8:30 p.m. in my mind--and I'm still groggy.

So, let's see...

I never downloaded my vacation pictures. Sorry. That'll be tomorrow, when I'm better rested.

But...

I did find out some cool news.

My hubby has been saying two things since I first started writing :
1) "I'll read your work when you get published."
2) "I'll throw you a book release party when you get published."

He still has yet to read my book--which is fine--because next month he's throwing me a party!
Hmm...I guess it's not a surprise party, but the details are being hidden from me. And apparently some details are being hidden from him as well, since my friends have overtaken the party planning.

Here are some things I DO know:
** the party is in April
** the invitations (which I haven't seen) are supposed to be really nice
** the local media will be there
** my mother and brothers will be there
** I've been asked to supply a "dolled-up" picture of myself
** I've been asked to bring plenty of copies of my book
** I've been asked to supply a picture of my book
** there have been inquiries made to the sturdiness of my neighbor's granite kitchen island. (??)

Honestly, I'm so touched by friends' and hubby's enthusiasm that I teared up last night.
(And a little now)

It's good to be loved. :)

Jennifer, how wonderful! Daylights savings didn't bother me this year because I completely forgot about it. Didn't think about it beforehand. Didn't reset the clocks until sometime later in the morning. Went to bed usual time last night and got up as usual.

Completely ignoring it seems to be the secret!
