My Mom, a New Fan
IN THE NEWS: "Man puts finger in gas tank, gets stuck for hours." Read more HERE.
I can't straighten my arms.
It hurts to laugh, too.
No, I don't have some sort of disease. That body sculpting class I took on Thursday night was a killer. KILLER.
Maybe I shouldn't have picked those 6lb weights. Yeah, I think they were the icing on the cake. I had no business picking up that size dumbbell when I normally do 3 or 4lbs. But I wanted to push myself, since, well, I never do. (I really baby my body) Unfortunately it shows.

On the book front, I gave a copy to my mom. She's not really a fiction reader, but I figured she could at least use it for her coffee table as a bragging device to all her friends.
Well, she called me up and told me she started to read my book. Great! I thought. Then she told me she could only read two pages. Not great! I thought. Then she told me she couldn't read more because she had a phone call. Ha!
But she said she loved what she read and that she laughed so loud my brother had to come in the room to see what was up.
Um... yeah. That's nice and all but she ONLY READ TWO PAGES!!! And not to sell myself short, but those first two pages aren't funny.
But that's a mother for you. :)
Needless to say, I told her to please keep reading.
Sheesh.

The first two pages weren't funny, but there were some phrases that could incite a smile.
Be happy she liked it so much. My mother probably would've found something wrong with it ...
lol - Aren't moms a hoot? I'm sure after the first two pages of mine, my mother would be calling to tell me having a naked man show up in a single girl's apartment is inappropriate.
I would also tell her to keep reading.
LOL! I'm afraid to let anyone but you at PC read my stuff yet! Too funny about your mom. At least she's trying! Bryan told me he wanted to read my newest when I was done editing, and I'm terrified!
Your mom will love it when she reads about Ben getting stuck in the slide.
Oh my gosh! That's hilarious. :-) I bet your mom did some real damage to you in your teens. LOL But she's probably fun to be around now...or not. Heheee.
So sorry to hear about your body, but the mirror will thank you! I'm so perturbed. My gym was supposed to be open in January and I'm way too lazy to work out at home. Congrats on the work out. Now rest those poor muscles. :-)
Ouch, my arms are aching thinking about those weights.
In my experience parents are funny creatures. Maybe I'll figure them out one day...
Well at least she commented. :-D And it was a nice comment! My mother doesn't even comment unless you ask her about it...kinda makes me assume she hates them...
