'Tis the Summer Season

IN THE NEWS: Baby opossum rescued from NY soda machine. Read more HERE.

Summer is here and so far it's meant that I have not been here. (I can't really complain about not writing since my hubby has also rarely been at work. So we're even) :)
We just had our "cousin's weekend" reunion this past weekend and now I have offered up my services (once again) to help out with my church's Vacation Bible School.

This year we're doing Gadget's Garage. It's time consuming but very rewarding to help out so I need to step away from blogging for the week while I do this.

Sorry. (try to survive) But I will resume blogging at my regularly scheduled time next week.

Until then, happy writing and God bless!

I love the themes that VBS has these days. My grandkids just finished one that was centered around Australia, so they're all walking around calling everybody "mate!"

Have a good time.

We just had our VBS last week. "Great Escapes" was our theme (moses, rahab, jesus, etc) We do our own curriculum. It was really fun (but exhausting)! Now we all have the bug that went around in the form of a nasty cold!

Sounds like a wonderful and productive way to spend time away from blogging. Have fun!

Hey Jennifer! I just got your book in the mail (I won a $25 Borders card and promptly bought you book!) I am a third of the way through and LOVE it! You set up the tension between Ben and Sandra so well! I am loving it!

I really would like to find a VBS for my son. I think he'd love it. You have fun! Sometimes there are things more important than writing. :-)

Have fun at VBS. We have ours coming up in a few weeks, but I'm trying to bow out this year as it's my week with hubby while the kids are away at camp.

I used to teach VBS when our kids were young. It's fun but time-consuming so know you're busy! Have fun with the kids - that's wonderful you are helping with VBS.

Chicki,
I like the theme of your Bible school - very cute.

Enjoy VBS. I just had relatives pass by for a few days, so I'm not yet back to my usual a blog every two weeks self. I'm totally hopeless as a blogger, so don't feel guilty that you'll be MIA.
