Uh, NO Conference Time

MENTAL STATUS: "Embarrassed". See below.

Well, I didn't go to the Women of Faith Conference. Wah.

What happened? I'll tell you.

I got all packed, filled the car with gas, made dinner ahead of time for my family, and printed out all my directions.
Then I got an e-mail from one of the friends I'm meeting there about being excited about next weekend, too.

I was like... next weekend? Uh-oh. So I went to the web site and sure enough, the conference is September 18 and 19th.

D'oh!

Folks, I'm officially a dope. (I guess I was just overly excited to go) :) So...this weekend I painted the doors to my bedroom closet and worked on my book instead.

Have you done any dumb things lately?

Ahaaaa! This is SOOOOO funny! Well, first, I'm really sorry that you got the wrong weekend, but YES I have done this. And recently. What it was for escapes me right now, but I know there was a rush to get a babysitter because I'd called one for the wrong day. LOL

I hope you have fun NEXT weekend. Snort!

I laughed when I read this! It has been awhile since I've done something like this, but I know it is totally embarrassing! But hey, getting your closet doors painted AND work on your book? That is awesome!

That is TOO funny, Jennifer!! I've done the same thing too. This summer I was scheduled to sub in my DD's Sunday School. Well, I didn't show up on my week because I thought it was the following week. Boy, did I feel like a big LOSER!

ROFL... At least you found out before you got there!!

Hey, my word verification is "preload" ... kinda what you did, huh? *G*

Well, this weekend all you'll have to do is get dressed and leave ...

I'm always doing dumb things -- too many to mention.

This morning alone, probably five. I loved this, not to laugh at you, but b/c it sounded so "me."

I do dumb things all the time. I'm glad you found out before you left. And now you have your directions ready for next weekend. LOL

That's great you got so much done over the weekend.

That is too funny!! Thank goodness for friends, eh?

Oh, that's great! I do dumb stuff all the time. I almost took my daughter to preschool a week before it started (even though I had the start date in three different places). Luckily a friend who had her son in the same preschool called and said, "So, are you excited for next week?" So yeah. At least you didn't make it all the way there before you realized it was next weekend :)

Oh, my gosh, I would have DIED if I got there and the place was empty! LOL!

Glad I'm not the only person becoming my mother. :)

Thanks goodness you checked your friend's message!! I'm glad you didn't get there and THEN realize it was the next weekend! Sounds like something I would do :)

Ha! I do stuff like that all the time! I'm glad to know I'm not alone! Look at it this way, you had a "free" weekend!

LOL, that is too funny. Well, enjoy next weekend and at least you're already packed.

So sorry, but that's hilarious! At least you didn't miss it and tried to go a week late!

That is hilarious - and yes, I've done PLENTY of dumb things lately. Hmm, this morning I thought it would be fun to burn my sons waffles. Oh, and yesterday I thought it would be cool to weedwhack my yard in shorts, and this morning I woke up to find the bottoms of my legs looking like I have chickenpox.

So, you're not alone!

I'm sorry. I guess for some reason you were not meant to be there. Hope you have a great week! :O)

Cracking up! When I saw the conference schedule, I thought, "Hey that's great. Jennifer gets to go to CA rather than Philly next weekend." Oh well... :D

Consider it a trial run.hahah Tell people you meant to do it. You are not crazy!

I completely forgot about a birthday party that I had sworn to attend this weekend. I kept thinking it was next weekend.

Oh Gosh I live those moments daily! Welcome to my world. It's not so much fun, is it? LOL. I love the women of faith! I Love Sheila Walsh!

LOL I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who has trouble keeping dates straight in my head. I've had some close calls with things like this lately but my kids reminded me in time.

On the bright side, now you have another week with something fun to look forward to!

If it were me, I would have gone anyway. LOL. Obviously, you needed a break!
