Wednesday Work In Progress #16

IN THE NEWS: Texas man found asleep with corpse inside closet. Read more HERE.

Ha-ha! You can't boo and hiss me today! Because...
I FINISHED my work in progress!!!

Yes, I pushed myself and finally finished it! It's really amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it.

And here's the ending total: (to be adjusted since this is still a ROUGH, ROUGH draft)

50146 / 50000 words. 100% done!

Thank you! Thank you! You're all too kind.

But I really could not have done it without some help along the way...
So I want to first thank The Hershey Company for making those little Ice Breakers Sours. They were just tart enough to wake my brain up when it would stall in the middle of a scene. :)

Secondly, I'd like to thank all my friends this past weekend who said, "Oh, you're not working on a new story yet?"

That's true incentive for ya, folks. LOL!

I still need to do a little fleshing out of my characters and fix the awkward sentences, but all in all, it's done. Whew!! I might do a little editing today or I might let it sit until next week. Not sure. But I do think I need a little break. My eyes are crossing. But it still feels good. :)

Did you make any progress on your WIP?

I'm about 65 percent finished. I think it's best to put something aside when you finish it and come back to revise it later. You then look at it with a fresh eye.

Woo hoo! Go, Jennifer! It's a great feeling to reach The End.

I'm at 83% and have one or maybe two chapters left.

Have a busy day today, so I don't know how much writing I'll get done ...

Yay Jennifer! It must feel like a piece of Heaven. Hard work and a lot of prayer can go a long way.

I hope you in enjoy a little break before you start editing. At least for the sake of your eyes!

Blessings to you...

I connected to you through another blog. Very interesting. I like this line of thinking....

"It's really amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it."

Anything is possible.

Best regards

WOOOHHHOOOO!!!! Congratulations! That is a great feeling!

I haven't, because I returned to another manuscript and started editing. I figure I'll keep doing that while I still have momentum!

Um. No. I finished a beta read. Does that count? I'm working on judging entries for a contest. But no progress. I need a good kick in the buttocks. But good for you, girl!! At least one of us is getting something done. ;)

Congrats. No, I haven't written since Sunday, after doing really well on the Seekerville BIAW last week. But definitely writing tonight.

OK, you win! My WIP was heavily interupted by the major rewrite on my first book in the series. I'm still hopeful though.

Congrats on finishing. Take a break and enjoy. It helps to step away from anyway. I just started a new WIP - I am 5.5 chapters into it and have a long way to go. But isn't the writing the fun part :).
