WIP Wednesday #15

IN THE NEWS: "Pa. woman put stolen check in church plate". Read more HERE.

Well, this Work In Progress Wednesday I have good news to share and bad news to share.

First the good. :)

I met all my writing AND reading goals, thus my progress bar looks great!

(Psst. Look below)

49115 / 50000 words. 98% done!

Woo-hoo!

Now for the bad news. :(

That progress bar is actually deceiving. Yes, deceiving. Although it looks as if I only have about 900 words left to completion, I can tell you right now THERE IS NO WAY NO HOW I'm going to finish this thing in so few words. Sigh.

There. It's been said.

Action must be taken. So... in honor of NaNoWriMo coming up next month, I plan to push myself and actually finish my story by next Wednesday. If I don't, you have permission to boo and hiss me. Seriously!! Just don't throw shoes. They hurt.

How's your progress coming along?

Wow, I should look at your progress bar more often! LOL Congrats. Even if you have 5000 words, that's still SO close!!

I don't know if someone was to throw really cute designer shoes in, say, an 8 1/2, I might practice my ducking skills! Congrats on making your writing goals. Perhaps if I set some for myself I would get more done.

You are doing great! I'm so impressed. My progress is non-existent lately. I've been project hopping so I still don't have a manuscript with more than 5000 words. Sigh. I'm going to do NaNo though so hopefully I'll have great progress in November.

My progress has been okay. I haven't been writing as much as I normally do, but this book is also different. Good luck finishing your WIP before November!

3 more chapters here...I hope I can finish it up before the nano next month, I almost forgot about it! Just in time for my new book idea!

I am so excited for you! Even though you have more than 900 words to completion it sounds like you keeping to the writing regime.

I am joining Nanowrimo this year for the first time! Can anyone tell me what to expect?

Blessings to you...

I think we're all trying to get to the end of whatever we're working on so we can start something new Nov 1! I know the feeling, though. I've often gotten toward the end and realized it's going to take 10,000 more words or so to finish that sucker up!

Congrats to you, Jennifer. You are so close, even if 900 words won't do it.

Are you starting a new story for NaNoWriMo?

No shoes? Hmm...

You can do it. I know you can. Just stay off of blogger. :)

I agree, go over your word goal and then edit. We all know how that goes! Good for you though- you have been working hard! Progress is progress!

Great job, just reaching 50K is wonderful, even if it's not the end of the story.

Are you going to do Nano too? Or is this your "Nano" now?

Jennifer Shirk said...

SJ: This is my mini version of NaNo. LOL!

Congrats on the progress! (Even if there's more to go than you thought.) I'd love to finish mine by next Wednesday, but it's not going to happen unless I suddenly no longer need sleep. Good luck!
