Christmas Progress #1

MOOD STATUS: "Excited". Getting a TV in the bedroom today!

Since I haven't been working on anything new for Work In Progress Wednesday **cough cough** I figured I'd post my Christmas In Progress. :)

Christmas cards sent Piece of cake

Four kinds of Christmas cookies made (2 more to go) I've been really good this year. I've only had two measly cookies so far. TWO! Such willpower...

3 and 1/2 people to still buy for But I know what I'm going to buy. That has to count for something.

All wrapped (for the presents I have) It's really not so bad when you do a little each day

Christmas Eve dinner semi planned. Another piece of cake. I've made Christmas Eve dinner so many time I can do it blindfolded. Uh, but please don't blindfold me.

Am I together or what?

Ah, but just in case you haven't been as productive...here are some super cool websites you can use in a crunch: (courtesy of the Press of Atlantic City)

Youngexplorers.com ( a lot of award winning toys there)

Moma.org (cool and stylish gifts)

Pearlriver.com (tons of interesting stocking stuffers and gifts)

Giftgenius.com (tons of ideas for that hard-to-buy-for person)

Looking for the perfect book for your kiddo? Try Scholastic.com. The "parents" section has tons of advice and reading lists that are age appropriate.

Whew!

What's left to do on your Christmas list?

Everything! Good thing I operate better under pressure. Except for that one gift that I'm willing to knock people over for. Must find. Must have.

Only 2 cookies! You are my hero!!! I've been soooo bad this week!

I am close to finishing my shopping. Don't you think that "knowing" what you are going to purchase is 3/4 the battle? That's the hard part! lol

I'm going to have to check out that gift genius website. You sound like you are well on your way to a eggnoggin' Christmas.

I tagged you and gave you an award on my blog today.

We made a real effort to finish up all the required responsibilities early this year, and thankfully, it worked. We're pretty much set to enjoy the Season :)

I'm so jealous. If only it was as ready for Christmas as you. Sigh. Oh well, thanks for the inspiration.

your list is almost finished. I have a few people left to buy for but holidays do not induce stress in our house. We have 2 year old so everything has a different holiday glow to it seeing it through his eyes. :)

It sounds like you're making good progress. I haven't had ANY Christmas cookies. But I HAVE had Christmas cheesecake. Ooops.

I still have shopping to do and presents to wrap and we only just put up our tree yesterday! And yet, I am really not stressed out at all. And, in fact, I think I'm going to have another piece of cheesecake on Christmas Day :)

Yeah, um, I've had about twenty cookies, and I have not bought one gift. I have to admit I'm a little jealous of you right about now. Okay, I'm getting my butt in gear today. Thanks for the nudge.

That is remarkable "progress"! You deserve a gold star.

I still have to wrap all the teacher's gifts and deliver. And I've got several gifts to finish making before this weekend.

Ha ha, it took me like six cookies just to get through the tree decorating. :) Thanks for stopping by What Women Write!

Oh, sure push the cookies on me.

Get behind me, Satan. LOL!!

I thought I was doing pretty well--then the Christmas tree fell over.

I'm...uh, not quite as far along as you are. Excuses? So many. But we're doing a lot better than we were just two days ago. I'm impressed with how on top of things you are! Even more impressive is the two cookie comment. ;) I've been munching since Thanksgiving. Yeesh.

Good idea about Scholastic!

I love the idea of a Christmas in Progress report. It makes you feel so much more accomplished when you list it. Good job!

Ugh. Too much left to do to write it down in a timely manner!

Wow, you are on top of it! Good for you! Congratulations!

I'm finished shopping, but still have some stuff to do. Still plenty of time, though!

All my shopping and wrapping has been done for a while and I mailed my only package today. Yesterday was a mass cookie baking day. Mmmm cookies!

I'm behind. I admit it. Must kick into gear, must, must, must.

Ugh! What's on my list? ALL my Christmas shopping. I haven't done a single thing yet. Yikes!

I have a task that I do every Christmas Eve. I make the ham for the Christmas day.

Everything else is something my wife does or asks me to do. And she says she's caught up on everything. :-)

I am SO jealous! I haven't even started cookie baking and I still don't know what I'm going to get for my husband (and he's always the hardest one!)

I just gave you a little award on my blog :)

What's left on my Christmas list?

Wrap one book.
Make a list of stuff to take on the drive to my daughter's and check it twice
Sing hymns
Praise God
Have holiday coffee with two soulmates, lunch with one
COUNT MY BLESSINGS

This holiday has been my best in a long time b/c of what we DIDN'T do!!!

I've been consumed by Christmas stuff, too. But the WIP? Pfft!

I know I've seen you around the 'nets, and I think I've been here to your blog before - but I'm not sure I've said hello. Nice to meet you!

Merry Christmas!
