New Car!

IN THE NEWS: Ohio police warn of mysterious pair of peacocks. Read more HERE.

Exciting news!! As of yesterday, I have a new car!

And when I say new car, I mean used new car. :)

But I love it!

The past few years I've been driving around in a Volvo sedan and always felt too low to the ground. So I've been looking for something that would get me back "up" in the driver's seat--a small SUV.

When I saw the Jeep Sahara four door on the roads, I knew that was the car. Have you seen them around? I just love the fun look of them. My hubby put in a call to our "car guy", but he had a hard time finding one for me. Apparently they're a hot car right now. Figures.

But then after two weeks of waiting, I got the call--ha! no pun intended--that he found a used Jeep 2009 for me. I took it for a test drive and that was that.

And now I have this:

What do you think?

(This car is SO me) :)

Do you drive a car or SUV?
Do you find you like driving high up, too?

LOve it! Love the color and I love that it's squarish in shape. I have some crazy thing for squares. So jealous!!! :O)

Very nice wheels going on there! I drive a sedan, but my husband has a pick-up truck, so we've got a little bit of both worlds.

Wishing you much happy cruisin'!

Love the car! Congrats! We call SUV's 4WD over here. Which stands for four wheel drives. I love them. I wish I had one :)

Congrats! I'm driving a new used car too...it's two weeks old to me. After driving a Jeep Cherokee for the last 10 years (it's 14-years-old now), I am in heaven with my 2007 Toyota Highlander. It's so easy to drive. Enjoy your new wheels.

Oh man, you are going to be all cool driving around and I'll pull up next to you in my mini-van with the soccer balls rolling all around on the floor. ;)

Very, very cool!

I'm glad you've found the car that fits you. I spent years driving cars that weren't me until summer of 2008, when I bought my Nissan Rogue. I went the next day to a good friend's house to show off my new baby, and she said, "Now THAT is you."

Thanks, ladies!! I'm super excited.

Wendy: Wow, you mean I'm finally going to look like a cool mom? LOL

Wendy Ramer: That kind of happened to my hubby. We thought we needed a family SUV years ago and ended up buying a Buick Rendezvous.
The day we brought it home he was like, "I'm going to be driving THAT?" LOL
I ended up driving it and he finally bought himself a Nissan Pathfinder, which he still has and LOVES.

So fun! I drive a car, but it doesn't feel low to me (of course, I compare everything to my first car, which was a 2-door Saturn...I practically scraped my bottom on the ground in that thing...lol).

Oh I love it! Next time I see a car out like that I'll think of you!

I so love your new car!!!!

I drive a fast speeding, rock blasting mini van. (I know, I tried to make it sound cool.) =)

I love your new car! Definitely something I'd like if I didn't have kids to tote around. But I still like being higher off the ground, so I drive a mini-van. Not quite as exciting but it works :)

Congrats on your new car, er vehicle...spiffy.

I love my truck. I never have to find someone to haul anything for me. Five years ago, when I needed a new dryer, I was out and about, found one, and away I went. I love not having to wait on delivery people, I'm kind of impatient like that.

One spiffy thing about trucks for moms of boys who play sports...and sweat profusely...and throw the nasty sweaty gear in the vehicle (either in the trunk where it stinks or in the vehicle where EWW double stink). You throw the gear in the back and the only people that have to worry about the nasty scent are the people who are trying to ride your bumper, LOL.

I drive a minivan so yes feel high compared to my husband's corolla.
What a beaut!

Nice! I drive an SUV, and I LOVE being higher up. I have nightmares about the time I drove for 4 hours with my college roomate in her Mazda Miata.

Congrats!!!

SOOO wierd! My daughter and SIL just bought a Honda SUV.

Sigh. I am not a car person and would drive a tin can on wheels as long as it moved.

But I share your joy!
Smile.

Congratulations! We've had 2 Jeeps and a Land Cruiser. When gas prices started creeping up we bought a Scion and it took a lot of getting used to. Next car--another SUV, I hope!

Congrats! It's an awesome Jeep! We just bought the hubby a big dodge ram pickup.

I'm a Minivan girl myself. It works great with the kiddos. Well at heart I'm a sports car girl, but the van is awesome for toting munchkins.

Congrats!
