Slow and steady wins the race. That's my motto.
(Slow and steady seems to be my writing style, too!) *sigh* But it's getting there.
I'm working myself up into a little bit of a panic now because summer is approaching fast and that means my writing time gets squeezed. But that's okay. Not complaining--much. I just need to start getting creative. Or waking up earlier. (Eew)
Anyhew... here's my progress thus far: (That's me running on the beach) :)
Anyhew... in other news, I still haven't received my cover art yet for my new book. Not that I'm complaining again--much.
And in more upbeat FUN news, I'm planning a new Wednesday blog series for the summer. So stayed tuned for more info on that coming up.
That's it for me. Going to write all morning (after spin class) and then if I meet my goal, I'm actually going to whip out the last manuscript I had started earlier this year and see if I can apply some plotting techniques to it that I learned in my writing class. Whew!
What's on your writing agenda today?

I hope you meet your goals! I need to be slow and steady too. Better than fast and erratic. LOL
I have so got to get back to my ms. I promised myself I would have it finished by the end of May and it's not. It's so not.
I wish us both luck in our endeavors.
You go girl!!!!
I took a little MS break for a while but now I'm itching to get back to it...not sure yet whether I have anything good to say or not. LOL.
Best of luck with yours!
Thanks for your message on FB. I love that beach runner, eh hem, you.
Today I need to write an article, get my 1000 words in and critique for a partner.

Reading the word "upbeat" made me think of How to lose a guy in 10 days... that word makes me giggle!
Good Luck with your wip today! Wow amazing miss thing in spin class, that's something I couldn't do!!
I'm shocked you've read Match Me If you Can! You're the first I've heard to have read it. I loved it was funny!! Actually I used her pieces of work as inspiration for my blogfest post today!
Fun! And I love your little word count ticker. Write write write!
Cover art! I'd be so excited (and nervous) about seeing my cover art!
Summer is the best time for me to write. I get squeezed during the rest of the year. Pull through, girl!

I'm feeling the pressure with summer vacation coming too. My writing schedule changes and unfortunately, my blogging schedule is going to have to change. Somehow.
I'm almost finished with my first draft! I'll have it done this week. Yea!
OK I'm SO jealous! Please upload all cover art ASAP!! Ack! How exciting!!! You know I can't wait to read your new book.
I haven't written a word in 3 weeks. Had house guests and short vacation. I really need to be getting my rear in gear!
Trying to squeeze my brain and recover what I might've lost when my son dropped my computer yesterday! GRRR. And also, I'm feeling the "summer's coming and kids will be home, ergo, I will have even LESS writing time" pressure :)
I'm feeling the same with pressure with only 7 days of school left. Writing and blogging will be cut in half for me.
Good job, Jen, keep it up!!!
I love your mini running lady! I'm with you on the eew beside waking up earlier. :) Good luck with your writing goals!
Gov. Arnold, whose last name I so do not know how to spell, wrote that as a young man, he would get up 45 minutes early. In that time for six months, he would study a subject that he felt he would improve his mind : English, world history, accounting, psychology, etc.
I was impressed enough by that statement that I've followed his example. I've used it to write a bit more each day than I ordinarily would have.
You have a lovely, intriguing blog, Roland
Keep running on that number line! :O)
That reminds me. I need to get on the treadmill. lol
I need to finish the chapter I'm working on and edit some shorts. I have 4 days off coming up so I hope/plan/pray I get a lot of writing done. ;)
Good luck! My agenda is to write as much as I can.
*whew!* You've got a lot going on! I critiqued five wip for other authors and am working on the 1st revision of my dystopia! =) Good luck!
I'm looking forward to more writing time in the summer :) Can't wait! Good luck getting in as much as possible while you can.
I hope you met your word goal today. For me, summer allows much more time to write. No good shows are on, which leaves much more time to write. YAY. :)
Good luck!!
Thanks for the comment on my Monday blog. Glad you like my new blog look.
Tomorrow I'm going to do what you did today. Work on an old manuscript (older than a year ago though) that I can see more clearly now. Last night I glanced through it and saw how I can tighten it.
Happy writing...
You are consistent and steady and that's what counts. It also motivates me too. I hope they show you your cover art soon! I think that would be the fun part:)
Best of luck to you in your writing! You can do it! I've been doing more editing than writing -- both for myself and my 3 beta readers -- but I have some good ideas brewing that I can't wait to work on when summer comes.
