Book Winner and how I'm spending my day

Wow!! Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments for Patti Lacy's post on Monday!

She's a super lady and it was really fun hosting her!

But enough chit-chat. It's time to announce the winner of Patti's new release, The Rhythm of Secrets.

And that winner is... CAROL KILGORE.

Congrats, Carol!! Please shoot me an email and let me know where you would like the book sent and I'll have Patti send it out to you ASAP. :)

Whew! I'm exhausted now. No, actually I can't be exhausted. I still have to do my "legs and back" P90x workout to do and then the rest of the day I'm spending...

Plotting. Ugh.

I'm having a terrible time of it. I know my heroine pretty well, but my hero is in sad shape.
So I need to spend some time figuring out what his "issues" are.

And in case you were interested, I'm going to be checking out some articles from Jeannie Campbell--particularly this one on determining your character's motivating need. It looks like something I could use now.

What are you doing today?

Hooray for Carol! I'm spending my day getting caught up on housework and then going to see my sister again. :)

Are we going to see any before and after pictures after this? Sounds tiring but you're hanging tough! :O)

Good luck plotting - what a chore that is.

Over at DDRWA our Feb workshop is "how setting shapes our characters."

I'm looking forward to learning how to add more to my characters after this class!

Good luck with your workout!

Good luck plotting! I know I'd rather be writing, but in a way, plotting is fun - it's when anything can happen! Shoot for the stars!

I WISH I was plotting. Instead I'm off to Home Depot to buy a mailbox to replace the one the town snowplow driver destroyed while driving at a ridiculous speed, clipping my mailbox in the process :/

Happy Friday to you :)

Good luck with straightening out your hero...men's issues will always be somewhat of a mystery to me, lol.

I'm excited! An email will soon be on the way. Today I'm still working on the current draft of my WiP, but I'm nearing the end. Sometime next week, I'll finish and begin the next one. I had MANY plotting issues to straighten out on this one.

Good luck plotting. I know you'll come up with something fabulous.

I'm plotting...how to keep my kids occupied for yet another snow day! The only day they had school this week was Monday. Sigh.

Congrats to the winner! I guess I'll have to buy it now. Anyway, I'm having some issues with one of my characters too. I should go read Jeannie's article too.

Good luck, everyone!

(Glad I'm not the only one with character problems) :)

Congratulations to Carol! I'm doing a bit of plotting myself, too. I've never written first person before this WIP and I want to make sure readers really get an idea of who my MC is. Have a great weekend!
