A to Z Blog Challenge: M is for...
Okay, lighter and fluffier than I normally do.
So, M is for: Movies!
My hubby surfs. My kiddo surfs (the white water, but still...) We live in a beach resort. Thus, we are all excited to see the new Bethany Hamilton movie: Soul Surfer. 'Soul Surfer' is the true story of competitive teen surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm in a shark attack and courageously overcame all odds to become a champion again, inspiring millions worldwide through her sheer determination and unwavering faith
The trailer for it is here: Soul Surfer: The Bethany Hamilton Movie Trailer.
(CAUTION: the trailer made me tear up)
Another movie I'm excited to see is the new Jane Eyre. You may not know this but Jane Eyre is one of my all-time favorite books. Evah. But I'll be honest, I'm not a big fan of remakes--especially remakes of classics. So I originally had NO interest in seeing this movie. But yesterday I read an awesome review in my local paper that has totally swayed me. I'm not made of wood, people!
Here's the trailer. See if you can resist.
What about you? Are you looking forward to seeing any new movies?

I watched the Next 3 Days last night, it was quite awesome.
Jane Eyre has been a favorite book of mine through the years, and I've seen about three versions of it. I'll look forward to your opinion of the new one. I am still waiting to see The King's Speech.
I love movie nights - I love movies, but I also love the fact that we go out as a family (and I don't have to cook)
Hoping for a Friday night movie tonight ;-) Not sure I care what we see!
So happy you posted about Jane Eyre. I didn't even realize it's in theaters now. I will definitely go see it.
I want to watch Jane Eyre. Thanks for blogging about it.
Soul Surfer looks great.
I'm looking forward to Water for Elephants. Hope it lives up to its expectations.

Oh, I want to see Jane Eyre! I'm a sucker for a good period piece.
I've heard lots of good things about the new Jane Eyre movie, that one's on my list. I collect old illustrated novels, and have a couple different versions of Jane Eyre illustrated. The visuals add such an interesting dimension to the story.

Nothing like an awesome movie escape! I think I need to go to the theater for Jane Eyre... I really need an escape and this sounds like just the ticket for me!!
I have seen the trailers on these movies previously they look interesting and I will definitely be spending some time watching them.
I cried all through the Soul Surfer movie. It was wonderful.
That trailer looks a lot better than I remember the book... And that surfer really IS inspiring, isn't she? As for me? I don't tend to look for coming stuff, except the Harry Potter stuff... DVD today... final one this summer...
Jane Eyre is probably my favorite book. I like one movie of it that I have on DVD, but would love to see this new one. I didn't realize the advertisements I have seen recently were for a threatrical movie. Thanks for the heads up. I hope I catch it in time.
you are super creative.
wow...
impressed by the post, love movies.
Jane Eyre looks scary and enticing. The actors are good. Who's the girl? I've seen her in something else that I liked. The surfer movie, too, would be fascinating. What a miraculous story.
I don't go to the movie theater, so I'll have to wait until they come out on DVD to see them.
Movies are always a good choice for me! I'm not in line behind you for the ones you picked - my tastes tend to more explosive fare - but I'll attempt a redemption and say how much I loved The King's Speech! Great post! Cheers!
I'm interested in seeing Jane Eyre. I loved Mia in Alice in Wonderland last year.
That looks like a better version than some I've seen :O)
