A to Z Challenge: S is for...
Morning, all!
I'm a little late in today's post because my kiddo had a sleepover at our house with TWO friends. But sleepover is not my word of the day, although it could be.
Instead, S is for: Saturday!
Original, huh? But as I said in the beginning of this blog challenge, these posts are not planned. I'm just rolling with it. :-)
Yes, so Saturday. And what have I done so far?
The kids were up at 5:30 (lovely) so that means I was up at 5:30. And because I'm a spoiler, I made homemade buttermilk chocolate chip pancakes for them (with whipped cream and sprinkles) and fried up some bacon.
I had a protein bar for breakfast.
Now I'm waiting for the kids to be picked up so I can go exercise. Yes, my hubby is around to watch the kids but he begged me not to leave him alone with them. He was like, "Don't leave! I'll easily lose control. You they'll listen to. Me, I'm practically one of them so they won't."
That made me laugh and take pity, so I'm blogging instead.
Later today, I plan to make a picture album for the whole 2010 year and put together Easter baskets. Then maybe read and make some cookies.
I love rainy Saturdays. :)
What are you doing today?

Sounds like a packed day and kudos to you eating a protein bar when pancakes were so nearby and tempting! My hubby is at the gym and I'm going to finish coffee, work on a study I'm writing, then today is leg/back with Tony. We have a huge Easter egg hunt at our church, then dying our own eggs, getting some prep work done for tomorrow's lunch and hopefully, crashing in bed and watching a few epidsodes of the Big Bang Theory on Netflix! Happy Easter!
Colouring eggs with my not so little anymore kids, baking up hotcross buns and sweetbread for tomorrow and watching the 'Pens' game...all things I'm going to get to right after I finish a little writing ;)
Enjoy your rainy day!
Wow - pancakes at 5:30 am - you're awesome!
It's a big shopping day here for me today, then an entire night of sitting at the computer (and hopefully a productive night of writing)
Reading about your protein bar has been the highlight of my day. I guess I had better get a reality check and get out of this bed soon.
You ARE Supermom!
Your Saturday sounds lovely. Mine --- hmmm...just still not too sure yet. I am waiting for the spirit to move me. LOL
Happy Easter!
Wow! You're like the Army compared to me - you do more by 9:00am than I'll do all day! I am visiting the wife's family to see a new baby - and while they are out Building a Bear - I'm catching up on my A-Z blogs and commenting like a madman! Later - a haircut! (I know! I live on the edge!) After that - a ham dinner with the family, and a wacky movie with my borther-in-law and nephew and his family - the brother--in-law is pulling for Tron: Legacy, the nephews hates the idea and wants one of the crazy B movies I brought instead - my kind of family dispute! Wish me luck! Cheers!
LOL, how kind of you to take mercy on your husband like that. I can't believe you spoiled them with those delicious pancakes. You're such a great mom!
Rainy Saturdays are the best I have to agree! But a protein bar for breakfast?! *shivers*
Wow. It's been a while since I've been here.
I went shopping for bedding and material. Finally going to get round to making some clothes. ^_^
OMG, your husband! I love it that he said he's practically like one of the kids. Though that's probably not always fun for you, lol.
Enjoy your Saturday and have a very happy Easter!!!
Oh my! Now if I made pancakes, etc. for breakfast, I'd eat them!
Just give me the whipped cream and sprinkles; I'm a simple soul...
Two of my boys recieved their black belts today... So four of my men (husband included) performed top secret karate stuff that I don't understand... Talk about testosterone... too bad it's not T day!
Sounds like them had a yummy breakfast! Thankfully we had some nice weather here for a change. Hope you enjoy your weekend!
Sounds like a great day for you - even though it started a little early.
The weather here in Charlotte is wonderful today. A nice break from the rain so after a kick butt kickboxing class and a karate class, we spent the day outside.
Kids had a lemonade stand (and learned some good business and finance lessons) and just enjoyed the fresh air!
I love Saturdays....it is my day to catch up with myself! Great post! This Saturday I was away from home playing with my 1 yr old grandson!
have a blessed Easter!
Too funny, choc chip pancakes for the kids and a power bar for you:) Those pancakes sound scrumptious;)
