Is Myspace Dead Space?
Hello? Myspace?
I know that social media experts say you're not dead, but you seem to be gravely ill or at least...
maybe in a two year coma?
Poor Myspace.
I've really tried to send time there. (Ok, I lasted three minutes--tops!)
It's just so hard to maneuver around. And I feel so removed from everyone since all I see are feeds from other social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook, which is kind of ironic. :)
No, I won't delete my site. Not sure why. Maybe because I remember when Myspace was cool and fun. Or maybe because I'm thinking there will be some Facebook meltdown with all it's new rules (go HERE for new contest information).
Am I the only one feeling this way or am I missing the boat on something advantageous?
So some thoughtful questions for you this Friday are:
Do you Myspace?
And if so, when was the last time you logged in there?
inquiring minds--ok, my mind wants to know. :-)

I don't use MySpace anymore. I shut down my account b/c of spams, etc.
Do not Myspace and never did. Have a super weekend! :O)
Never MySpaced. Had a Facebook account but I shuttered it. Blogger is the way I roll.
Nadia: Really? You shut it down? Can't bring myself to pull the trigger. LOL
I did, like five years ago. I never pulled the plug, though. You've reminded me that I should. It's time to let go. LoL.

I've never used it. I found when my kids were in HS that the privacy options were minimal at best, so I never allowed it. I never wanted to try it for myself either.
I jsut joined at a request from a friend across the pond, but I don't know how to use it. So I'm not.
Never even tried Myspace. Heard too many negative things about it.
I totally forgot I had one till this post! I should check it! :)
I was one of the top bloggers on MySpace for a while, which was really a great feeling. It got me nowhere, but it taught me that being able to write and touch others with our words is actually more compelling a reason to be an author than anything else. It was a bizarre time in my life...and I'll always remember it with fondness. But it is sad that MySpace just hangs out there...like a dead guy at the dinner table!
I had a myspace, way back in high school. I might have posted in it once or twice, but I haven't logged in for at least 5 years now...
I've never tried Myspace. I'm kind of glad it isn't more popular, I've barely got time for the social networking sites I'm already on.
I started my social networking on MySpace - but last updated that page in early 2009. I last logged in a few months ago because I actually had gotten a real inbox message from one of my nieces.
No, I just blog and use Facebook. I wish Facebook would chill and stop making so many changes. Just when I catch on the a style of something, they change it. Oh, well.
I spend very little time there...I use to be there a lot more but with all the different sites there is not enough time to keep up with all of them.
I don't do Myspace, but I have wanted to check it out. You can get inundated with all the social media and never write that story of book!
But with the recent Blogger glitch that lasted for days, I went to WordPress and set one up, thinking I'm going to conquer it. Not yet! But the basics are up. Now I just need my son or someone to help me figure out the Widgets, etc. I read that it has gotten easier, but I don't think so! But I'm not going to give up. Blogger could really go down. That's why I'm going through all my followers and getting their emails, etc. so if something SHOULD happen I won't feel like I've lost all my family!!
And BTW, thank you for confirming that I am who I say I am on my WordPress account. Appreciate it very much!

You know.. I've actually never used it...
MySpace is hard to use. It's unwieldy and tough to navigate. Do I have an account? Yes. Do I go there? About once every six months. Mostly, as you noted, I just feed stuff from my blog, Twitter and Facebook through.
If MySpace wants to truly compete, they need to make themselves more user friendly. Period. I didn't like it before I used Facebook, and I like it less now.
I never used MySpace because I heard a horror story about nasty comments on someone's site, due to jealousy. I've never experienced that in blogger. But then, why anyone would be jealous of me?
I have never used MySpace. I have a hard enough time keeping up with Twitter and Facebook, though I like Facebook as a way of keeping in touch quickly with family and friends. It's blogging that I really like. I get so much good advice from so many sites and great links.
I've never done Myspace. I Facebook and I Twitter.
I used to use MySpace but I haven't visited for a while. It seems so slow and unwieldy with the large graphics on some pages.
I have a Myspace, but I don't think I've touched it in years! It's just not something I think about anymore, and has gotten far too complicated to use for my liking. Poor Tom, he was a first- but he got left in the dust by Zach and Twitter.
