Happy Anniversary!

Yes, it's true. I was a June bride. :-)

Today, in fact, is my and my hubby's 16th wedding anniversary!!

To celebrate today, I thought I'd share some little known facts about me and the hub:

1) We met on a blind date. (I was still in college. He had graduated and had a real job already)

2)We got married two years and five months after our first date.

3)The priest who married us couldn't remember our names and kept calling us John and Martha at the rehearsal, which of course threw me into a panic.

4)Hub's only brother was married on the same exact date (six years earlier). My mother-in-law says she can never forget our anniversaries. LOL

Anyhew, we're going away on a little overnight trip to celebrate.

So in keeping with today's theme (and for a chuckle), I give you The Flintstones:

See you Monday!

Do you have an anniversary coming up?

Happy Anniversary!!

My hubby and I are going on our 10 year anniversary next month. We also met on a hook up. But we married 2 years and 8 months after meeting and his bro's anniversary was a week and a day after ours. The pastor didn't forget our names though (I bet that was crazy!).

Happy Anniversary, John and Martha! How funny. Love that clip from the Flintstones. I find myself singing that one every once in a while - catchy tune!

Congratulations! Enjoy your celebration trip! Our wedding anniversary is three days after our daughter's birthday, so it tends to get overlooked.

Happy 16th Wedding Anniversary, Jennifer!!! Have any pearls of wisdom to share?!

I'm a June bride too; three years on June 21. :) My mom & dad are celebrating 32 years on June 30. June is a wonderful month for weddings!

Enjoy your overnight trip!

Yeah for mawwage! And how funny about the priest with your names. I'd have asked to pick a new name just for the rehearsal!

Have a fun getaway.

Congrats and hope you have a fabulous anniversary! I just keep picturing the officiant in Four Weddings and A Funeral stumbling over the bride & groom's names--too funny, now at least.

Have a wonderful day--cheers!

Oh, dear, I'm not going to be able to get this song out of my head now. Thanks, I think!

Congratulations on your anniversary. We're a June couple, too--June 24. Married on the date my grandparents married 50 years before...

Aw, my anniversary was yesterday. It's a popular week for weddings I guess. I've been married nine years, but feels like twenty! (don't worry, hubby says the same thing :)

We got married a week ahead of you sixteen years ago. We got engaged in January of 1994 and my wife wanted a June wedding, but June of 1994 was too early.

I agreed to wait until the first Saturday in June of 1995.
