And Now For Something Really Scary...

Happy Halloween!
Guess what? I still need to buy Halloween candy for tonight.
YES, that is scary but not that scary.
Are you ready for something REALLY scary?
How about spending lots of $$$ for a kitchen makeover.
**Cue the scary music now**
What?
It is scary. I have new granite counters, a new sink, and stove top all coming in this Wednesday. I'm still looking at stainless steel refrigerators and counter stools.
And my goodness, it all better look dramatically different--for the better.
This the before picture:
Those counters are BLUE. Look away, if it's too frightening.
And you know what else is scary?
The fact that all these changes will lead to needing a new back splash and curtains.... Yeah, it's a nightmare.
Oh my gosh... Hold me.
Oh well. Too late now.
And just in case you haven't seen the Halloween House Light Show, here it is:
Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!!!

And good luck with the makeover! It's both exciting and nerve wracking I'm sure...so many decisions. :)

Looking forward to the "after" photo.

Even with blue countertops, your kitchen looks VERY nice. Can't wait to see the after.

Thanks, ladies.

My kitchen isn't bad, but it's not good either. LOL

Blue countertops? Yikes! We've been debating on whether or not to replace our carpet with wood flooring, but I'm so cheap. The thought of spending all that money makes me a little nauseous.

Your "before" kitchen looks awesome -- I'm intrigued by how much better the "after" one would be!

I love those doors! Can't wait to see the After photo :)

I asked Live-In Handyman if he would do our house like the Halloween House. I got "the look".

Happy Halloween!

That video is AWESOME! I'm so gonna share it on Facebook.

I can't wait to see the finished kitchen, Jennifer. (I've been through remodels, though, so I get your fear... ;)

It's a beautiful space, but I'm not sure I'd like blue counters in the kitchen either. Good luck during remodeling!

Wow, your before looks fabulous! And cozy. I can't wait to see the after picture. We redid our kitchen awhile back and though we had to stay on the low end of a budget, we really opened up the space and I LOVE it! Have fun!

Your before kitchen is already beautiful so I can only imagine your after kitchen is going to be dazzlingly stunning - even more so than the pretty bright lights!! Yay!! Good luck! Take care

Congrats on getting a kitchen makeover! Kitchen renovations are the worst to live through, but the best to live with ;). Happy Halloween!

I agree that your old counters are lovely and it's hard to believe that this is the before picture. I'm sure you will love your new things. Have fun.

Congrats to you and your new kitchen. I have 1995 counters and floors and appliances. However, on Wednesday, my new stove and microwave will be delivered. The rest will have to come a little at a time...but at least I will have functioning appliances in time for Thanksgiving for 30.

That's a pretty good before picture. :) Sounds like a big project but it will be so fun to have it made over. Can't wait to see.

That before kitchen looks good to me but there is always sprucing up that we want in a kitchen. Good luck. The house of lights was "electrifying."

I wish I had your kitchen. Of course, black countertops would be better. : )

That Halloween video is cool. Is that the same house that does the Christmas light show, too?
