When You Have a Window...

Hey, all!

I've been supercalifragilisticexpialidocious busy this week.
As a result, this post will be supercalifragilisticexpialidocious short.:)

I just wanted to share what I learned this week. And that is...

When you have a window, take it.

What does that mean? It means, I carefully planned all this writing time, and then I was presented with extra opportunities to write. But I wasted it, thinking I don't need that time because I planned my other time.
WRONGO. Because then all my carefully planned writing time got blown out of the water!

Thus, the lesson learned: when you have a window--for anything--don't waste it. Take it while you can get it, because life has a way of happening.

You're welcome. :)

Now I'm off to finish writing some blog posts for my upcoming blog tour coming up next month. And then I plan on trying out a scone recipe.

What are your plans today?

What's that a bird in the hand thing.....? I am so guilty of squandering opportunities at times. Glad to know it's not just me. :O)

So true. When I know I have time to get something done, I try to do it with the thought, "What if something comes up or I get sick?" That's happened before.

How was exercise this morning? You sportin rock hard abs? ;) Have a great weekend.

Have fun scone-trying. I need to catch up on a bunch of backlog stuff. Ugh.

I completely agree with you. You have to seize the moment. I planned to edit this morning, but that time is completely gone. :( Now I'm looking for a window to open.

Boy, do I ever hear you on this one. Real Life has been intervening in my Writing Life for the past couple of weeks, and I'm getting a little cranky.

Enjoy the scones :)

Used to be, when I saw a window, I had the irresistible urge to wash it until it sparkled. But I learned to stop looking AT windows so much and spend more time looking THROUGH them. Now I crawl right through 'em to seize the opportunities and enjoy life. Life's too short to do otherwise, and besides, what's a little bit of dirt between friends?

Ahh i hope you catch up soonest but I totally get you. The procrastination bug hits me more often than I'd like. Have a great weekend.

Yes, my mom always said, strike while the iron is hot :)

What kind of scones? You've made me hungry for one -- definitely a favorite breakfast pastry of mine :)

I'm taking your advice to heart. *step away from the Internet and take the dog for a walk*

Yes, I am. Off I go, and thanks for the advice. Have an awesome weekend, Jennifer.

I can so relate to this one. I often plan time and have the time and then fill it with other things. You are so right.
