Friday Food Favorites #13!
It's Friday. It's hot. And I'm heading to the beach this afternoon. So I'll make this short and sweet since I want to get a little editing done this morning.
If you haven't already noticed this, I'll mention it now.
Besides being a reader, I'm a foodie.
As a result my Friday Favorites tend to revolve around...FOOD. :-)
Well, I found this Friday Favorite a few weeks ago and have been hooked ever since. It's a bean dip. I usually make my own. But the last time I was at my favorite health food market, they had samples out of this stuff and I practically made myself lunch there!
(Yes, I never pass up free samples)
No junk in these dips either. Just beans, soybean oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper.
All-natural, gluten-free, vegan, kosher with no trans-fat or cholesterol. What more do you want? Oh, it tastes fantastic!!
I love to come back from the beach, take one of these dips out and serve it with pita chips and veggies just to hold us over until I can get dinner ready. It's my favorite snack.
It's now available at Acme and Shop Rite supermarkets as well as Whole Foods and Sam's Club.
You can like them on Facebook.
And no I'm not getting any endorsement deals out of my pimping. (I wish!) Just the satisfaction of spreading the good word on good food. LOL
Have a great weekend!
Do you like bean dips and hummus? What's your favorite kind of appetizer to serve at home?

Yum! I'm sold.
We tend to have guacamole, hummus or a dip made with yoghurt and spices. Hubby and I both love cooking, so we experiment with new recipes. Fresh bread, dukkah and olive oil is delicious.
Sounds good!!! Enjoy your day at the beach!!! Take care

I've never even heard of this brand. I wonder if it's local. I'll look for it next time I go shopping.
Favorite dip: salsa
I'm a salsa fan too-but I'm very picky with it. :-)
I love hummus on pita bread. i like mild salsa and Tostitos scoops, too.
Yes to bean dips, no to hummus. Have fun at the beach!
I love red pepper hummus. I haven't seen these dips at the store. Maybe they don't carry them in my area. (I'm a Costco shopper, not Sam's Club.) Have fun at the beach!!
Mmmm. That sounds wonderful! I'll have to see if I can find it around here.
This dip sounds delicious! I serve homemade salsa when we need something to tide us over until supper. It's my mother-in-law's recipe and we all love it! Have fun at the beach!!
Mmm, dip sounds really good right about now. Thanks for the recommendation!
Oh I could so get addicted to that! And how fun that bean dip is your shout out!
Have fun beachin' it.

I love black bean dip! Here in Mexico, they're the frijoles that come with a meal. But of course, they're warm. And guacamole flows freely here. I never have to go far to get what I love. Restaurants and food stands are everywhere. There are calories lurking at every street corner. Yum! :)
I don't know if I've ever had bean dip before or not. It sounds great because I love beans. I think I tasted hummus once and it was fine.
My favorite appetizer, if I have to make one is either tiny sausages rolled in biscuit dough or cottage cheese dip and veggies. If I'm at home and need a quick snack, I'll do cheese and crackers or baby carrots.
Mmm, I like dips. These sound like a good alternative snack. Thanks for the tip!
Mmmm. I love hummus. Looks good.
Love bean dips and hummus. We usually have a supply of these plus salsa and guacamole. I'll look for Bobbie's the next time I'm in Whole Foods. And I'll check at HEB here, too. Thanks.
I'm jealous you're at the beach :)
Oh I like a good hummus, I'll have to see if the health food store here carries it.
Can't say I've ever tried it...
Hope you had a great time at the beach. :-)
Ummmm, I love humas and black bean dip. Kudos to your taste buds:)
I like hummus. Roasted red pepper hummus is my favorite. YUM!
Since I'm doing a raw food cleanse, I've been snacking on raw nuts or veggies as a lot of my snacks.
Wow, those look so gooood! Yum! I'm kind of hungry now... :)
Will check them out for sure.
