I'm Up and Running Again!

Hey, all!

What a week! I finally had Internet come back on Monday afternoon.
It was spotty up until last Saturday then I finally installed the new modem and totally RUINED everything--to the point where my hubby had to have his office tech guy come out to help fix my mess. :-) Which is why it took so long.

I'm still trying to get my bearings again, but I have one last Friday Favorite left in me.

It's this:

 I know.
You're probably thinking, Seriously? You don't blog for a week and you come back with this?

Yes!
I LOVE this stuff. I spray it on all my veggies and fruits before I rinse them with water. It's supposed to naturally get rid of pesticide sprays and stuff so you're not eating it.

Does it work?

Well, I was out of this wash for about 2 weeks recently and didn't rush out to get more because I was wondering if it was really worth buying. Then, I had some grapes I wanted to eat. So I figured I get a nice sudsy bowl of soap and water and let the grapes soak in that and then rinse them really well and all would be fine.

WRONGO.

I actually couldn't eat the grapes. To me, they still tasted dirty.
(I do have a sensitive taste palate though) After that, I was sorry I ever doubted my fruit and veggie wash.

Long story short, I did buy more this week and now (between that and my Internet being back) all is right with the world again. Whew!

How about you? Do you use any special wash for your fruits and veggies? Do you think it makes a difference?

And more importantly, did I miss any news while I was away?

Glad you got your Internet back. I use an ozoneator. I put fruit or veggies to get rid of any mold, fungus or bacteria. I don't think it works against pesticides. I'll have to check and see if they have it here in Mexico. Have a great weekend!

Glad your internet is back. Nothing worse than being cut off. (We lost ours for a week after some tornadoes--it was terrible.)

I've never tried a fruit/veggie wash. I just rinse mine in water. But I do taste something "funny" on a lot of apples. I think it's a wax they put on the skin. Yuck.

I have my doubts on veggie washers' effectiveness. It might strip away waxes and films, but pesticides can go deep, especially on thin-skinned fruits and veggies.

But I can see how a veggie wash could improve taste. Do you notice a difference in taste when you eat a salad in a restaurant?

I've wondered about these washes and if they were more harm than good. Glad to know they work.

Miss you and hope all is well! :O)

Glad you're up and running again.

I haven't tried Veggie Wash yet, but it looks interesting. I'll have to add it to my shopping list.

You're back!! Thank goodness, I was having some serious Jennifer withdraws!

And any big news missed? Well, hmm, let's see. I decided to run for president in the next election. Just kidding. Nothing new with me.

I'm a pretty dirty girl; I usually just use water to rinse off my fruits and veggies. When I was little and tagging along behind my mom in the garden, I'd pick stuff raw and just brush it off with my fingers before popping it it. I know, EWW! Man, I miss those days.

I have never heard of veggie-wash and I don't know if it'll be here in the UK but I do know to wash fruit n veg at least 20 minutes under running water (or go organic and hope they're truly organic!). Take care

I have no particular wash. I'm thinking now, I might need some. Nothing big happened on my end of the world. At least nothing worth reporting! LOL That might be sad.

Hahahaa! I've never even heard of such a thing. I just use water for my kiddos. I don't really like fruit and rarely eat it (your palate is sensitive, mine is uber picky, lol)
Welcome back to cyberworld!

I have a coupon for that wash, but haven't bought any yet, because I wasn't sure how effective it'd be and if it were worth the money. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll definitely give it a try. Happy weekend!

I heard about this stuff and I sort of thought... well, I'll apologize in advance... I thought the person was a little bit crazy. I thought it was this marketing thing for nervous hippies. (No, really, I apologize.) BUT EVERYONE KEEPS TELLING ME ABOUT THIS AND HOW MUCH THEY LOVE IT.

So, finally, I'm taking your post as a sign. It's going on the shopping list! Yes, sign me up with the rest of the nervous hippies!
