Soreness, Snubs and other Stuff
Happy Monday!
Soreness:
Let me tell you, I can barely type this post. I re-started P90x last week and I'm really feeling it.
It's actually kind of depressing because I used to do these workouts about as easily as drinking a cup of coffee and now I'm struggling. But I'll get back to where I was.
Eventually.
Snubs:
In other news, I can't help but feel a little sorry for Ben Affleck for getting snubbed by the Oscars. Yes, I know, that poor multimillionaire. I haven't seen Argo--but still want to (and Lincoln and Les Mis)--but I hear it was really great.
Other Stuff:
Thanks you to all my bloggy friends who were able to stop by for my blog tour all last week.
It was exhausting but I had a lot of fun.
**also be on the lookout for my new Valentine's Day novella being released this week. A LITTLE BIT CUPID. It's SUPER cute!**
I will be sending out emails to the winners, but if you happen to see your name on the list and do get an email, you can also contact me (jennifer AT jennifershirk DOT com)
Here are the winners:

Have you seen Argo? Do you think Ben Affleck should have been nominated?
Have you started an new exercise routine this new year too?

o new exercise programs for me...I will live vicariously through you! :) And YES, I do feel bad for Ben Affleck.
Oh, I feel for you on restarting an exercise routine. I did yoga 5x a week until bronchitis knocked me out for almost 3 weeks. By the time I got back to yoga I had lost some of the strength in my knees (my weakest points) and my balance was off.
I hated starting over, but I seem to have recovered ground more quickly this time.
Good luck!
I think about exercise but that's all it is, just a thought. With the lawn mowing, gardening, and chopping down of trees and fence building, I think I get enough cardio.
I haven't seen ARGO, but it probably should have been nominated. It was a powerful film. But Oscar has been weird the last few years.
I haven't seen Argo, but I do think you're right about his being snubbed. :(
I haven't seen it. But I'm a Ben fan.
I have been sick since the day after Christmas. Isn't that nuts? Colds, coughs, and now something crazy with my ear so I haven't done much of anything. But when I feel better (hopefully after seeing the doc today) I'm going back to Zumba. I just love it! I have the DVDs and it's a work out but so much fun I lose track of the hour. Unlike when I did P90. I KNEW I was working, but his commentary always made me laugh. And yes, when I did the Groucho walk, I did pretend to smoke the cigar! LOL
I'm upset Daniel Craig's not been nominated! LOL!!
But seriously! Argo is very good and Ben Affleck a revelation! My goodness! He should direct more! And his film is in the running for best pic so that's good too!
I've seen The Master and Joaquim (sp!!) Phoenix is SUPER duper amazing. I don't think he'll win though.
Please take care with your exercise regime!! You should feel the pain but not too much! LOL! In my humble opinion anyway!

I haven't had time to see any movies lately, but there are so many good ones out.
I have a friend who is in love with the Insanity workout. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm looking into it.
Yes, a new exercise program for me, too. Walking the dog. lol. But if I won't do it for me, I WILL do it for her. lol.
Good luck with yours!
Really want to see Les Mis.
Rula: I looked at Insanity too--to change things up. Personally, it would be great for me if I was a little younger. It's a little hard on the joints.
Whoa! I did me a double take there at the end! I'm so excited. Thanks.
Now, as to exercising I have noticed that if I get distracted and stop doing crunches, etc. that when I get back to it - I have to build up again to where I was. And I'm sore too!
He was snubbed for the Oscar, but he won both the Golden Globe and the Critic's Choice for Best Director.
Took a little exercise hiatus and planning to get back to it today (outside, yikes, b/c it's not too cold).
Need to see Argo!

I haven't seen the movie, but I was excited when he won last night at the Golden Globe's. I thought it was cute that he talked his wife into thanking the people he forgot when she went up to present. :)
I've seen Argo--it's excellent. I was shocked Affleck wasn't nominated.
I have not started a new exercise program, but I am trying new food things. I am eliminating diet cola from my diet and I'm working on very low or no sugar. Also, I'm determined to stop eating when I'm full. That includes mac and cheese.
Good luck with your new program of exercise and congrats on your story coming out.
I don't pay any attention to movie awards but Afleck is talented so I'm sure he deserved something.
I just acquired the DDP Yoga dvds and am looking forward to starting an exercise routine!
I walked my dog, today, does that count? :)
I HAVE seen Argo, and it is awesome. I realy enjoyed it. But I also haven't seen Lincoln or Les Miz, so I can't compare. I want to sneak off and see LM before it's gone... :P
As for exercise, well, I've been trying to cram runs in between snows, so yep. I'm pretty sore after two sunny, upper-40s days... LOL!
Here's to getting fit! <3
Does playing with two large dogs and traveling up and down stairs a dozen times a day count as exercise? And I try to walk, too, but it's cold and I'm a wimp.
Argo is on my list, but haven't seen it yet. I'm happy Ben Affleck won the other recent awards. I'm wondering what the story behind the story is for the Oscar snub.
Yikes on the exercise. I feel your pain since I started on Wii Active last week. Thankfully I'm almost past the achy stage.
Haven't seen the movies. Getting up out of bed is my exercise. Baby steps. Baby steps. (-;
