Memorial Day--Freedom isn't Free

Happy Memorial Day Monday!

I have the hubby's side of the family coming over for dinner and I plan on biking to the boardwalk today. (Hubby is out running now but I need to run out for coffee!)

But before I do anything, I wanted to announce the winner of the Bliss Kiss Off giveaway!
HUGE CONGRATS to Vanessa N!
Robin or I will email you and send you your prize!

Big thanks to Robin Bielman for helping organize this fun event and for being so fun herself!
Her kiss from the Gilmore Girls won! Wah!
But that's ok. I still like her. :)
Don't forget to check out her book Kissing the Maid of Honor.

And, lastly, in church on Sunday, they showed this video as a tribute to those who died serving our country.

I think it's a great tribute for this Memorial Day, so we remember what this day is all about.

See you next week!

Hope your Memorial day was wonderful! Yes, blogging reconnects us in a way that Facebook doesn't. Just doing it again sometimes is overwhelming. Are you still a pharmacist? thought I read someplace you weren't.

Congrats to Vanessa! Thanks for sharing the tribute. I am grateful for all the sacrifices made for us.

Hope you had a good bike ride on the boardwalk. Among all of them, I always liked your family friendly boardwalk the best. Have a good rest of the week! :)

Bicycling on the Boardwalk sounds sooo nice. We're flooded in my neck of the woods. My daughter and I walked down our road to where the water had flooded it out and we waded around in it until a crawdad freaked her out and I had to carry her back home!

Congrats to Vanessa, and thanks for sharing the video. Beautiful.

But did ya HAVE to be such a bragger? Biking on the boardwalk. Heck, I'd love to walk on the boardwalk. No, scratch that. I'm leaving the boardwalk and getting down on the sand with my shoes off. Gonna let the surf tickle my toes. (Darn, I sure do miss the ocean.)
