Man Crush Monday

WHAT'S JEN WORKING ON? I'm writing the first book of a new Bliss series. I want to call it either, It Happened One Kiss or It Happened One Wedding. Due to my editor in May.

Hi, all!

So here I am in the middle of writing my next book (new series) and I had to go and change the name of my hero. He's turning out to be a little brooding, so I needed a name to reflect that state. He was originally Carson and it's just not fitting anymore.

Thus, may I introduce Damon to you.

I don't typically write too many blonde heroes.

Weird, huh?

I guess I have a type. Dark hair for sure. (My husband is living proof)

However, I figured it was time to change things up a bit.

The facial scruff is a nice touch too. I'm adding that to my character as well.

I think he'll work out ok.

What do you think? :-)
Do you favor certain hair colors when writing your characters/heroes?
Do you prefer your characters to look a certain way when you read?

Well, you couldn't have picked a better actor for the role.

My lead male characters have been all over the spectrum in looks, so I don't think I have a preference. Although for me personally, long hair on a guy will usually warrant a second glance.

So exciting! I've always preferred the tall, dark, and handsome type but different is good. šŸ˜„

I think Damon will work just fine! The only hair color I haven't used for a hero so far is red. Maybe a ginger is in my future :)

Carol:
I've never done a red head hero either!

I used to go for the darkies all the time, but since my dark-haired husband broke my heart, I've had a tendency to look at the blond guys. I think I subconsciously think they'll treat me better. Silly really. I don't think I'll ever get over Colin Firth though. :) I can't wait to read your new series.
