Monday Musings

WHAT JENN IS WORKING ON NOW: Fast-drafting Bliss #2--tentatively titled A Deal with the Doctor.
WHAT JENN IS LISTENING TO NOW: My fav song right now is "Beautiful Day" by Donovan Frankenreiter.

Happy Monday, all! And Happy Labor Day if you are in the U.S.
I'm having both sides of the family coming over for a BBQ. Always an "interesting" time when I do that.

Speaking of interesting...

I had some pretty interesting people observations this summer, which provided the hubby and I plenty of laughter. And in my case, blog fodder, as well. So I have to share.

Here's #1:

My hubby was greeted with ye ole stocking feet guy before we even took off on the airplane. I was sitting across the aisle and was partly disgusted but mostly amused. Naturally, I needed to capture the moment.

#2
Same flight. Only MY seat.
The guy in front of me decided he wanted leg room and put his carry-on in my under-the-seat space.
I actually found this very funny. I slyly kicked it toward him and he eventually moved it to where it belonged.
No confrontation and everyone was happy. Well, I was happy.

#3

Went to the beach one weekend and put down a towel in front of my chair. Started reading and was so engrossed, didn't notice that a family descended upon me and parked their stuff right on top of my towel! Seriously?
Um... it was a big beach.
Had to snap a picture before I politely asked her to step off. :-)

And lastly, #4:
At the beach a different day and looked to my right. This scared the bejeebies out of me. This is actually the top of the guy's head. (His nose is in the towel) But his hat and glasses made it look like a creepy face. :)

And thus concludes my weird observations of the summer. Ha!

How about you? Have any weird people observations or happenings happen lately?

Before I forget... BIG NEWS:
I hit the USA TODAY Bestseller's list for WRONG BROTHER, RIGHT MATCH!

So pour the champagne! I was so overcome with emotion that when I went to tell my husband, he thought someone had died!

**Thank you to my publisher, my editor, my critique partners and everyone who reviewed and bought my book. I am humbled.**

Until next time,

Jennifer

Congrats! As I've learned, you have to stay on top of that list to catch it. (I'm sure I've missed a couple DLP books hitting the list.)

Flying is always interesting.

How rude someone would park right next to and ON your stuff!

I really want to thank Dr Emu for saving my marriage. My wife really treated me badly and left home for almost 3 month this got me sick and confused. Then I told my friend about how my wife has changed towards me. Then she told me to contact Dr Emu that he will help me bring back my wife and change her back to a good woman. I never believed in all this but I gave it a try. Dr Emu casted a spell of return of love on her, and my wife came back home for forgiveness and today we are happy again.
