Wordless Wednesday?
I was trying to do a "Wordless Wednesday" but I really can't keep my big yapper shut.
That little baby (isn't she cute?) in the picture is now in kindergarten, and today I have to attend a parent-teacher conference.
I can't help but wonder what her teacher is going to say. I don't really think there's much to say. My daughter is super smart and well-behaved. Don't roll your eyes! Hey, I used to think I was biased, but now that I'm in the classroom and see the other kids, I now know I am not. She's way ahead in reading, too--which of course makes this writing mama particularly happy. But I'm a worrier, so I'm still wondering if there's a problem I don't know about.
Pathetic, isn't it?

You understand how blessed you are when you go out and see some of these little monsters. That's why I'm so proud of my grandkids. I can take them anywhere and never have to worry about being embarrassed.
The conference will be fine.

Don't tell Sven, but I AM having a wordless Wednesday.....well, unless you count this.

You're a pharmacist, swallow a little Valium or something and RELAX. You know the teacher is going to tell you how wonderful your baby girl is! And she's adorable.
After experiencing my share of parent-teacher conferences, I can warn you that chance are good that the teacher will come up with SOMETHING that needs work with your child. They talk too much, they don't talk enough. They don't finish the work, they won't stop working when told to. They read really well, but their handwriting needs work. They write really well, but their reading needs work.
I've heard it all. Don't let it get to you, relax and enjoy this time. Don't sweat the small stuff. :-)
Funny, you were going for a wordless wednesday, I'm going for a 10K wednesday.
I'm sure the conference will go great! And yeah, being class mom, you do get to see how the other kids are behaving, which always puts your own kids antics into perspective.

Aww it's inhuman to not worry about such things! I'm sure they are only going to tell you how wonderful she is! Such an adorable picture!

You're allowed to worry, fret, gnash teeth, cheer, do cartwheels, cry, etc. over every aspect of your first child's life.
So have at it! The conference will be fine and so will you.
Adorable picture of your sweet baby girl. I'm sure the conference will go well. We had our already and it went much better than expected. I have a rowdy boy just like his daddy.
What a sweet picture! I had rambunctious kids and dreaded the parent teacher conferences for good reason, usually. Well, my son (picture hell on wheels and you will come close) brought me the slip home from Kindergarten and I obsessed for DAYS. I got there and the teacher broke into the biggest smile when she shook my hand. She said, "Your son is the most pleasant, well mannered boy in my class." I literally looked over my shoulder, turned back around and introduced myself. I just knew she had the wrong mom! Who knew?? :)
