Web Hell

MENTAL STATUS: "Grouchy". Woke up with a headache. That always ticks me off.

Yes, I know it's Thursday. I've been navigating through the fierce waters of "website creation" lately so I completely forgot about Thursday Thirteen.

If you have no technical know how like myself, you'd understand how something like that could have slipped my mind--and why I woke up with a headache. But one of crit partners assured me that if she could do it, I could do it. I'm going to give it another few more days but I'm beginning to believe I may prove her wrong.
We'll see.

At least I managed to register a domain name (One of my short goals for the new year) and point it here in the meantime. That'll buy me some time while I think about what to do--and while I swear at myself for being such a cheapskate.

I'm going to plunge in again and see what I can figure out today. It's not going to be pretty.

Wish me well...

You're creating it yourself? What provider are you using?

I wouldn't know where to start. That's why I went with Freewebs for now. When I publish then I'll get a "real" web site.

Hang in there, girl.

Hey Jennifer
I DO wish you well. I too, tried to set up my own website using Frontpage, and I think it looks okay. It was way too time consuming but then what else would I do? Anyway, I got sick of trying to design pretty pages without pretty book covers to display. I have been meaning to do the domain name too. Well done so far.
Regards Annie

Yeah, you should use some sort of software to help you out. I'm still trying to get Bryan to help me create one...just for grins really, but since I'm not published, he doesnt see it as necessary. If you'd like I can ask my brainy hubby who does this kind of stuff if there's anything us HUMANS can use to make it easy!

I'm in the officially technophobic category, so when it's time for me to have a website, I'll be hiring someone to do it for me. You're very brave to give it the college try.

Yeah, I know just how you feel. But I know that you'll manage to create an absolutely gorg-ee-ous website that we'll all envy. ;)

I mean, look at how well you decorated this blog!

Hugs, lady. Calm down. As my sister always says, "On the great scale of life..." Yeah, it feels like life and death right now, but it's not. Deep breaths.

Eat a piece of chocolate and smile.
