My Dirty Little Secret

MENTAL STATUS: "Stressed". Trying to get things ready before I leave for the conference.

Well, since I finished my manuscript, I've been on a mission to clean and organize my house before I start edits.

This is a picture of my Tupperware drawer-- on drugs. Kind of sad, isn't it? Yeah. The unfortunate thing is it doesn't look that much better than my car or the inside of my purse.

For being such a "neat freak" my hubby finds it kind of strange that there are certain areas of my life that I just... let go.

I call it my "dirty little secret".

Do you have one?

Oh honey, at least you have a shelf. My tupperware is a DRAWER and I let the kids unload my tupperware and "put it up" in there. They feel big and they should because they make a BIG mess. And don't even get me started about my pots and pans....

My tupperware looks very similar. I also have a few junk drawers I should tackle. Plus, I need to do a freshening in my closet. Like pitch the stuff I no longer wear, reorganize by color, etc.

The only reason my plastics closet is neat is because DH went out a bought one of those sets that use the same size tops and sits in a little carousel.

When I'm writing I let dusting go then by the time I get a break there are cobwebs and bunnies all over the house!

Hey, something has to go ...

My bedroom would be that special place for me, unfortunately. Not enough space anywhere in the house for all the stuff we have, so much of it ends up in my room and often on my dresser.

The Tupperware drawer is, I think, impossible to keep neat. Not only that, but we always seem to have either the lid or the bowl, but never both, which rather defeats the purpose.

My whole house looks like your Tupperware cabinet. At least you can close the doors and call it a "secret".
