Christmas Fun!

IN THE NEWS: "Outraged by the arrest of Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, more than a dozen people have put the state's vacant Senate seat up for bid on eBay." Read more HERE.

A New Twist on Things (I thought this was cute)

A little boy returned from Sunday School with a new perspective
on the Christmas story. He had learned all about the Wise Men
from the East who brought gifts to the Baby Jesus. He was so
excited he could hardly wait to tell his parents.

As soon as he arrived home, he immediately began, "I learned all
about the very first Christmas in Sunday School today! There
wasn't a Santa Claus way back then, so these three skinny guys on
camels had to deliver all the toys! And Rudolph the Red-Nosed
Reindeer with his nose so bright wasn't there yet, so they had to
have this big spotlight in the sky to find their way around!"

Holiday Trivia
The average American takes six months to pay off holiday credit-card bills.

Pogonophobia: the fear of beards.

There are currently 78 people named S. Claus living in the U.S. -- and one
Kriss Kringle.

December is the most popular month for nose jobs.

Weight of Santa's sleigh loaded with one Beanie Baby for every kid on
earth: 333,333 tons.

Number of reindeer required to pull a 333,333-ton sleigh: 214,206 --
plus Rudolph.

Average wage of a mall Santa: $11 an hour. With real beard: $20.

To deliver his gifts in one night, Santa would have to make 822.6 visits
per second, sleighing at 3,000 times the speed of sound. At that speed,
Santa and his reindeer would burst into flame instantaneously.

Hi Jennifer - I have a radical way to cut my credit card debt. Someone stole our card number recently. The first we knew of it was when the credit card company rang us up and told us it had been used in Australia. They canceled our card and we have to wait for a new one to arrive. That's certainly cutting down on spending at the moment!

Santa uses magic, not science to get around the globe so he can't burst into flame.
