Holiday Recap

IN THE NEWS: "A family didn't realize it had an unexpected Christmas guest until a man who had been in their attic for days emerged wearing their clothes, police said." Read more here.

Hey, stranger!

Wow, it seems like it's been so long since I've last spent any real time at the computer. But, ya know, the holidays and all... It's been a bit hectic.

So let's recap...

Or not.

Hmm... Yes, I think I'd rather not. Unfortunately, this year Christmas was just THERE for me. In fact, it was rather "not good" to put it mildly. But as I like to think, it could have been way worse. And up until this point I was pretty much 36 great Christmas' out of 37 . So I guess I was about due for a stinky one. I couldn't even go to church, which really bummed me out.

The kiddo--on the other hand-- apparently had a great Christmas. Confirmed by her statement "this is the best Christmas ever!". But she was sheltered from my holiday stress. Considering, she DID NOT GET a hamster, a Nintendo DS, Wii, or any Polly Pockets, I'm patting myself on the back right now for a job well done all around.

While we're on the subjects of gifts...
My favorite gift was my Sony e-reader light (courtesy of the hubby)
The most expensive gift I got was a new kitchen chandelier (courtesy of the mom)
The worst gift I got was body wash & lotion with thyme in it (courtesy of the hubby). (Actually it smells like something a man would use, which is why I dislike it.) P-U!!!

What was your LEAST favorite Christmas gift?

Glad to hear you didn't give in on the hamster issue!

I am also very sensitive about fragrance. Someone gave me a Tuberose body cream from Bath & Body Words that smelled like my grandmother. I promptly returned it and got a wonderful Sea Island Cotton fragrance and bought three extra tubes because everything was 75% off!

Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry you had a bad one this year. :-(
But you must have done something write for kiddo to be happy! :-)

Hmmm, bad Christmas gift? Not really. Just useful, practical stuff.

Let us know how the e-reader works out.

Hugs on the bad Christmas! But your kiddo had fun, and that has to make it better :)

I got good gifts this year, finally felt like people GOT me. My favorite were the Irish knot earrings from my cousin.

Chicki, I LOVE the Sea Island Cotton! Not a fan of the Tuberose, either.

We didn't exchange gifts this year. Honestly, there's not much we need anyway. Plus we're going to New Orleans at the end of this month.

Can you exchange the thyme stuff? Seems a waste to keep something you don't like.

Sorry you had a blah Christmas. :(

I did too.

At least you have your Sony e-reader to snuggle up with!

Here's the basic info on the Master Cleanse: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_Cleanse

You'll get a lot of info googling Master Cleanse, too. If you want to try it and have questions, email me. kbrunori AT yahoo DOT com.

Sorry your Christmas was a bit stressful. The thyme body lotion does sound a bit "manly". It's not something that would appeal to me either.

We don't really do the present thing either so I didn't have anything I didn't want or like.

Sorry you had such a touch Christmas.

My presents came mostly in the form of gift cards and cash, so I can't really say that I got any gifts I didn't like. Although, I think thyme lotion sounds nice, then again I kind of like the "manly" scents, since the really girly ones always seem to make me sneeze.
