A Spring in My Flip Flops
MENTAL STATUS: "Amused". A big thanks to everyone who defended my almost fat body in yesterday's post.
Is it spring yet?
In my mind, I was at spring last weekend when I totally stopped wearing shoes. (I've been wearing flip flops instead.) Yes, even when there was still snow on the ground. I just wore them with socks. Yes, SOCKS. OK, are you happy hearing that?
I. WEAR. FLIP. FLOPS. WITH. SOCKS. White socks.
And look like a total goober, but I don't care. I'm so done with shoes. I had enough of them. They're a pain. With flip flops, you just slide and go. No fuss. I like how they look with jeans, too. I have a cool "granola" look going on right now. (In my mind, anyway)

On the exercise front, I never did make it to my body sculpting class yesterday. Why? Because I chose to go out to eat instead. How ironic is that?
Oh well. There's always today. :)

Have a great weekend!

I've worn socks with flip flops before because so comfortable and easier than putting shoes on. :) Glad I'm not the only one!
Flip-flops with socks? Um. That's a fashion violation and I'm sorry, but I must now write you a ticket.
No work outs on the weekends and weekends start at 5:00 pm today. It's a rule.
Oh no - flip flops with socks! It actually reminds me more of college than of anything else.
It is the first day of Spring though, so hopefully soon you'll be able to toss those socks aside!
I'm not sure if I ever put my flip flops away. But I think we were okay without hearing about the sock admission...I've gone commando outside with the flip flops and snow to get the paper or run the oldest to school;)
Zaynah said there are socks especially made to wear with flip-flops ...
Agree with you about shoes being a pain. I've been wearing bedroom slippers every day since I stopped working eight years ago, but as a result I've messed up my feet. My arches have fallen and now every single pair of shoes I put on hurt like #%!*
I'm glad I'm not alone with the shoe thing. I spent an entire year doing something I swore I would never do, that's wear crocs. But hey, they're light pink and I love them! But your right it's time to revert to the flip flops. I love this time of year just wish it were a bit warmer!
I'll email you today re Samhain, I really appreciate it!
SOCKS!!!!!
You just about made me faint. LOL
I've often wished I were a hobbit so I could just go barefoot and not hurt my feet on sharp rocks. I'm just not into the whole wearing shoes thing. I guess I'm just a country girl at heart. ;)
You'll fit right in if you ever move south, where flip flops are year-round footwear, even when the temps fall and the wearer has on thick sweaters or a sweatshirt or jacket.
