Wednesday Work In Progress #4

IN THE NEWS: Man allegedly steals ambulance with patient inside. Read more here.

Well, it's ANOTHER snow day today (yes, we got snowed on again last night) and it's another work in progress Wednesday.

As promised last week, I did rework my first chapter and plotted a little more, too. Now I'm about half way through my second chapter. I'm feeling really good about this book!

(For now, anyway...)

Although, I feel I'm really dumping a lot of things onto my poor main character. I hope she doesn't snap before chapter three.

Things will get better, Ellie! Somewhat.

Anyhew, since I met last week's goals, I'm getting a WEE BIT more aggressive this week with a 3K word goal. I'm already half way into it, so I'm not even stressing that the kiddo is home from school today and already disrupting my work schedule. :)

How's your work-in-progress coming along?

Do you have a word goal this week?

Good for you, Jennifer! I hope you guys stay safe with so much snow.

I'm trying hard to do 1k a day in order to finish by the end of February.

Yay for productivity! Living in Texas, we rarely have Snow Days, but we did have one in January! I heard there is a possibility for snow later this week and I would LOVE that!

I took the day off yesterday and reworked my first 2 chapters and combined them. It felt so good. I'm in the editing phase and am learning so much through this process!

Love snow days. :) Our kids are home today as well.

Awesome that you are so motivated. PC is hopping right now, so that's been a help to me.

Also, I wanted to thank you for stopping by my site. I appreciated your comment.

Keep up the hard work.

I'm about half way with revising my book. I'm hoping to finish by the end of February! I hope you have a productive day, snow and all. :)

I'm revising my WIP, and it's coming along great. Like you, I'm very happy with it! But I'm also realistic in that I should expect some bumps along the way. :)

We had no school Monday or Tuesday, and I'm SO glad it's back to the routine for us today.

I'm in editing pergatory (I don't really believe in pergatory), but I'm there.

Glad you are progressing.

Yay Jennifer! I never had a doubt that you would meet your goals. I'm pushing for 2,000 words by Saturday. I'm writing and tweaking at the same time, so thing sometimes move a little slower.

But like you, I am in love with the story.

Kudos to your writing progress! I don't really work with a "word goal" but am more inclined to get a chapter done, or a page, or a scene, not really considering the wordcount. But still, there is a goal usually set in place.

P.S. Snow here today, too. 6 to 12 inches predicted, it's just starting now :)

My goal is to get off my procrastinating behind and finish my ending re-write. :-)

No word count for me, I'm knee deep in edits. I think I'm going to cleave to my WIP until I really do see progress with an agent. I pray this one pans out.

Snow day here too! Hoping to make this weeks work goal myself. I know YOU can do it, me? hahaha

3000 words a week. Wow. I am working on a manuscript and need to hit that pace, but I don't seem to be pulling it off.

I was blessed to see that you are reading Unpacking Forgiveness.

Way to go on your progress! Good luck with your words. I'm still into revisions, but I'm taking a needed break from my MS. Trust me, it's better for both of us this way. Friday, though, I'm tearing back into him!

LOL People are so nutty sometimes (with regard to the ambulance)

Good for you on the word count, and not letting the snowday interrupt your schedule too much. My goal is tor write at least something every night and I've been at about 1.5 k a night so that's pretty good lol. Considering I've not been in the writing habit at least nightly for a while. I had been going in massive spurts and then weeks without. So trying to write daily is nice and I'm doing well with it. And I'm happy with what I'm doing. Also got something done on my website which I am really happy with :)

Years ago, I was pregnant with my daughter, and on my way into the doctor's office for a check up. (The parking lot was small and full, so I parked on the street.)

A medical van of sorts was parked in front of the entrance, and full of elderly and special needs people. The driver had hopped out for some reason or another.

A crazy homeless guy came strolling by, saw the van, keys in ignition, and he hopped in and backed the van square into my car!

The driver came running out. I was screaming, the driver was screaming, the homeless man started screaming. It was a sight. The homeless man got out and ran away. The driver looked at me and said, "I'm in deep s&%t now. My boss is never going to believe this."

I'm three quarters of the way through my WIP, my protagonist has gone through so much, do you think I could steal the title The Perils of Pauline? Naw, just kiddin.

Snow days can kill the best intentions! We're having one today, and it's been great. No complaints here! Good luck!

Good for you! I never set # goals - I never know if I'll even have time for writing, so it just adds too much stress. I always admire those who can :)

TODAY (Lord willing, in an hour), I will send my latest proposal off to agent for a read-through. Feels good!!! Just had to take a refueling (yes, a noshing) break!!!

Hey!

Right now I'm considering changing my setting. I think doing that will help a lot... but I haven't been able to write anything new on my WIP.

I'm in that in between projects - a place that feels like the Sahara Desert. But the oasis will come, eventually. :)

I'm in Atlanta. No snow, but it's freezing cold.

I'm also behind on my goals. Thankfully, my CP is kicking my butt in gear.

Good for you! I'm trying to finish my first draft --I'm stuck. Hopefully, I will finish this week--that is my goal. I just hope my kids will cooperate.
We are snowed in too--cabin fever is taking hold.
Good luck!

That's so funny. In central Texas, if a snow day happens (I'm talking about an inch or so), EVERYTHING shuts down...we just don't know what to do. My friends up north laugh at us all the time.

As for my WIP...it isn't a book yet (I'm building up the courage) but my editing business, and it is coming along nicely. There is so much I want to do with it, but it will happen eventually.

My WIP is being mean and difficult. I'm thinking of putting it in a blender and seeing if anything useful comes out. I did manage to get a submission sent out though. Stay safe and warm!

Sorry, I think I logged into your comment section incorrectly. I noticed I have had 8 people looking for me on Blogger.com, which I'm not on. Ugh... I don't want people to think I'm a fugitive. Although there are times when running has crossed my mind. Ha Ha
