Misc Monday

MOOD STATUS: "Unsure". Got my hair colored--DARK--and I'm not sure I like it. I feel very...goth. But I was assured it would lighten up.

I'm back!

And I only cheated and went to a social networking site once. Okay, twice. But it was really really quick, so it hardly counts. :)

So there.

But while I was away, I got some blog awards.
Why does that happen whenever I'm not around?

Anyhew...here's my blog bling:

I got the "Lovely Blog" award from my new bloggy friend Annie at her blog Dutch Hill News

And my writer friend, Diane Craver was so kind to extend the "Creative Writer" award to me, too!

(I know, I need follow up on the rules with these awards, but give me a break, I just got back online! And I'm a little frazzled about my hair.)

But thank you both so much!!

Today I'm playing catch-up with all my networking buds (that's you), but I wanted to pass along this YouTube video on BOOK SIGNINGS that is hilarious (and true).
(Unless you're Stephen King or Meg Cabot or Mary Higgins Clark, of course.) :)

Check it out!

I just sent the video link to a few friends. That was hilarious -- and sad at the same time. Thanks for my Monday morning laugh!

Aww, I feel so bad for him. It was funny and heartbreaking at the same time. Hopefully he has better luck...er...next time.

Still cracking up over that video. Just goes to show "making it" is subjective.

Great awards! That video makes me laugh! And I have gone to many a bookstore or Sam's Club to see a poor author sitting with his books and nobody stopping by his/her table. I always end up buying one!

Congrats on the Awards, and love the video. I think that's one of every writer's fears :/

Welcome back and congrats on the awards. Give it a few more days to get use to your hair--it may grow on you :) Yeah, sorry, bad pun for Monday morning. Have a great day!

Great video. I think that's every author's worst nightmare! But something a lot of people go through. Congrats on the awards!

We need pictures of your hair!

That video is great! It makes me want to go to all my local writers signings. hehe Just so they won't be alone. It also makes me want to NEVER go to a book signing of my own (assuming I have one) with no emotional support. hehehe

It definitely will lighten up! But I'm sure it looks great!

My friend Roxane shared that video with me after sitting next to Mary Casanova at a book signing. Mary had the long line. Roxane's books didn't come in!

Oh, dare to be goth for a while...it might be fun.
