Another Author in the Making

MOOD STATUS: "Pumped". Got 41% of my WIP done so far.

Hey, all! In case your electricity went out, your Internet service was disrupted, or you were temporarily blinded and missed my Facebook post and half a dozen of my Tweets, I'll repeat my announcement.

I got an email Monday morning telling me that my book Georgie on His Mind was one of the CataNetwork Single Titles Reviewers' Choice award winners for 2010.

I know. I'm shocked too. But it's so nice to be surprised like that.It's not often that a little G-rated romance will get such recognition, so I really have to milk it while I can. :)

Actually, I think my little girl is following in my footsteps already. I noticed these stapled little packets (books) that she's been putting together all over the house recently. When my hubby asked her where she was getting the inspiration to write books, she stated simply, "Mama."

Aww.... that's my baby!

Well, I have to share a few pictures of her most recent work, entitled: Moose.

In other news, did you know that February is Library Lovers' Month? Yeah, either did I.

So go love a library and take out some books this long President's weekend! That's what I plan on doing--along with mattress shopping. :)

Misc Monday

MOOD STATUS: "Unsure". Got my hair colored--DARK--and I'm not sure I like it. I feel very...goth. But I was assured it would lighten up.

I'm back!

And I only cheated and went to a social networking site once. Okay, twice. But it was really really quick, so it hardly counts. :)

So there.

But while I was away, I got some blog awards.
Why does that happen whenever I'm not around?

Been Away AND Been Getting Awards :)

Well, when I said I would be on a little blogging break, I actually meant a BIG blogging break. :)

First, I had to get ready for vacation. Then I actually was on vacation. And then when I came back, I forgot about my blog. (Which is hilarious, considering my last post was about how much I do not neglect my blog)

Ooops.

Anyway, guess where I was.

Oh, all right I'll tell you. I was in Disney World!!! For the third time in four years

*cough, cough*

I love Walt Disney World, but I can officially say that I am now Disneyed OUT. There are only so many times I can get dragged on the Winnie the Pooh ride. I reached that max.

We had a great time and actually were very fortunate with the weather, since Orlando isn't exactly a hot zone right now. And at least there was no snow.

Anyhew...that's where I was in case you missed my smiling black and white cocked head on your blog posts. :)
