And We Have a Cover!

Hey, all!
Well, I hosted a Superbowl party last night! Heard it was a good game. I wouldn't know. I somehow missed everything.

Yep.

Did not see one play, did not see one commerical.
But...I did see Madonna and the halftime show.

All I can say is...

DANG, that woman looks good for her age!!!

And personally, I think it helped that her outfit and makeup were toned down. She could have really looked as if she was trying too hard, but she didn't do that.

But anyhew, I wanted to show you all the cover of my new book coming out in April: SUNNY DAYS FOR SAM.

Cute, huh?

I have a bit of a Cinderella theme going on in the book, since my heroine starts out as an amusement park princess, so I guess the good people at Avalon Books took that and ran with it.

My one "complaint" is that my name is a bit small, but otherwise, I think the cover fits the book. :)

What do you think of it?
Also, did you see any of the Superbowl?
Did I miss any good commericals?

Did not see one piece of the game, nor the commercials, nor half time.

I LOVE THIS COVER. It is sooo sweet. And I agree, your name should be bigger. But I love the shoes and how the color offsets them against the walk. Cute.

I love the cover!!!

Watching Madonna just made me uncomfortable. I kept thinking she was going to fall and slide down those stadium steps.

Love the cover. It would grab my attention on the bookshelf. Well done!

The game was on, but I was reading. Go figure.

Cheers, and congrats on your cover.

I did see the game and the half-time show. All I can say about Madonna is she's fit for her age...but her face looks like a mask.
But more important than her is your cover --GREAT!

Fabulous cover! Sure, your name could have been a little bigger, but that red shoe makes up for that, right? :)

You're cover is gorgeous!! Congrats.

Congrats! on the milestone. Looks great and I wish you the best of luck with Sunny Days For Sam! Question: what is it with women taking pics of their feet and shoes? Just wondering, that's all.

I didn't watch the game. Didn't even know who won until I got to work this morning and someone told me.

I love your cover. I see what you mean about the name, though. But overall it's very nice!

I adore that cover! Congrats!

I too only saw the half-time show, and Madonna was awesome. She looks better than she did when I was a kid and she hit it big. I think I need to go work out lol.

I love the cover! Even though your name is smaller than you'd like it's still on TOP!

I saw the halftime show and thought she looked good but quite frankly, her songs are kinda tired at this point.

Lurve the cover!

And I smiled at the dog commercials. I agree about Madonna.

The cover is great. I saw the Cinderella feel, but it has something more to it, maybe the stone or the red shoe. It definitively would make me pick it up to read the blurb next.

Love it love it!!! What a great cover! I think cute shoes are like the next best thing to a pretty girl in a gorgeous dress. :D

and I missed the SB, too. But I've also seen the half time show. I think there has to be a lesson there... ;p <3

Oh my gosh, I LOVE that cover! Super congratulations, lady. That's much more awesome than dudes with lots of padding running around a field :D

Your cover is so totally cute. I love just the hint of the fancy dress. I agree that your name is kind of small. The overall effect is quite an eye catcher.

I didn't see one bit of the superbowl this year. My husband and I read books instead. I heard that a few of the commercials were quite witty.

I LOVE it, Jennifer! It's fun and romantic and makes me want to open it up to see what's inside. :)

I love the cover! I'd also like Sunny's shoes. :) Nice.

I watched it, but by watch I mean eating and laughing and stopping for commercials. Mostly, I was disappointed in them this year. But a few were pretty funny. Like the grandma slingshotting the baby into a tree house to snatch doritos from his taunting older brother. That was funny! Wish my grandma had been that cool.

The cover is cute, but I agree with you about the name. It needs to be bigger :)

I'm a sucker for red shoes, so I do love this cover. BUT, I really think your name should be more prominent. (But what do I know?) We had the game on, and I watched some of it, but I was more interested in working on my laptop. Now, if my Falcons had been playing, I would've been hanging on every play and making a loud fool of myself. But they weren't, so the game was pretty much relegated to being background noise.

It looks great Jennifer! I love the cover!!! Congrats!

Can you talk to your editor about getting your name bigger? You're too well-known to have it that small.

Other than that, it's a great cover. I love the gauzy skirt and the red shoe.

I watched at the game - and I wasn't impressed by the halftime show; though I must admit Madonna looked gooood. I wasn't into any of the commercials either. I though they could have gone better.

Now, I'm no football enthusiast, I only watched cuz everyone I know was, but it was a pretty good game. Yes, you did miss one momentuous play; but don't worry, the MC's assure us the play will be aired throught infinity :) The last half hour or so - in overtime - had all the best plays.

Love the cover; and while your name is small on the front, I don't think it makes a difference to the potential reader. IMO, if the name was bigger it would distract from the cover theme and title.

Your name is written bigger on the spine right?

anyway; the cover is beautiful and appealing. Congatulations.

Did not see the game either (but did not even try). Madonna does look fab though.

The cover is great! Appealing and sweet. Your name could be a bit larger or perhaps positioned just a tad bit higher so that there is more contrast with the colors. But a great cover in any case.

I'm in the wrong country for the Superbowl. Did the right people win?

I'm a sucker for hearts and I think every girl should own at least one pair of red shoes, so win/win:-)

You thought Madonna didn't overdo it?!?! hahah. We were all cracking up the entire time, thinking it was all ridiculous. I didn't see many commercials, and the ones i saw weren't even funny. Bust. And I don't get football so I mostly hovered around the food with the other girls and played with my nephews. :)

I'd pick that book right up and start reading!

So, so pretty! I love the colors. And the shoe. I want that shoe!!

Congratulations!!

Congrats on the cover - it looks great!

I did see Madonna, and yes, she looks amazing. Even if I could do all those moves, I probably would be bedridden for a week afterwards. :)

I love your cover!!

And I ONLY saw the Superbowl commercials. I let my son host his first Superbowl Party, and I trained all his friends to call me whenever they cut to a commercial break. (Those were the only parts I was interested in watching!)

I'm not a sports person, but my family is. Sometimes I feel left out, but not enough to immerse myself!

That is a beautiful cover. Yes, I think your name should be bigger. The red, though, is a particularly great touch.

Love the cover, Jennifer! It's both classy and cute and intriguing. Perfect.

I watched the Superbowl at a friend's house and ended up talking to my friends most of the time. But I did look up in time to see the big plays and we all congregated around the TV for the halftime show -- even the kids. :)
