Party Pics

Happy Monday!

As some of you know from my Friday post, I had a 1920's Speakeasy Murder Mystery Party (try saying that 3 times fast) on Saturday night.
None of us had ever been to one before, but it was a lot of fun. We all had parts to read in order to discover who the murderer was.
(PS. A lot of people thought it was me. (Including me-ha!) But I was innocent)

Me("Torchy" was my part) in my mink. That's a fake cigarette by the way. I couldn't decide between that blue hat I'm wearing or a yellow one. When I asked the kiddo, she told me to wear the blue. When I asked her why, she said, "Because, Mommy, the blue one makes you look like...Peacock Cinderella."
(There are quite a few feathers in it) :-)

My friend on the left is actually wearing her great-grandmother's dress. And my friend on the right, well, it turns out that she was the murderer. :)
The whole gang dressed up.

Good times.

That party kind of took our neighborhood dine-around to a new level. I hope when it's our turn to host (On May 5th), people don't expect much more than a taco fixin' bar. LOL

Did you do anything fun this weekend?

I've always wanted to go to a murder mystery party, but one set in a 20s speakeasy sounds amazing.

Thanks for sharing the pictures!

I went to one of those a long time ago, although it was set in a British manor house. We all had to talk with English accents. How much fun. Hey, who's the guy with "Torchy"? Is that the Hubs? He's kind of cute.

Sounds like fun! Thanks for sharing the adventure with us. My weekend included cleaning and a date night with hubby. Yes, I know, we're living life on the edge in KY. :)

You look fabulous, darling!! How cool! We had a sick kiddo and didn't do anything out of our usual chaos.

Um, not really! I played outside with my kids, and that was fun, but nothing compared to your party!

my weekend was pretty tame by comparison! But LOL--"she turned out to be the murderer." Really? ;p

This sounds too fun. Was it a board game you did? Did someone make it up? Very curious~

You look great. I love all of the costumes. Glad you had such a good time. My daughter and her friends used to do those parties. We had such fun thinking up costumes for them all.

I went out to eat a couple of times. Sounds rather boring, but we did have unusually good food.

I love it! We hosted a murder-mystery party in the exact same 1920s Speakeasy theme for daughter's Sweet Sixteen birthday party. The kids really got into it and it was a blast! Looks like you had a great time!

This looks like fun! I've never even spoken to the people who live on one side of me, much less been accused of murdering them :-)
