Friday Favs #4

Types of Scones made this week: 2
Toenail color painted this week: Orange--AKA "Atomic Orange" by OPI

Hey, all!

I've got an interesting Friday Favorite of mine for this week. It's a condiment. I think it's a condiment... It could probably be known as a side dish in my house. We go through about 2 or 3 bottles in a month.
But I LOVE it!!!
And that is...

Hot sauce?
I mean, YES!! HOT SAUCE!
But not any old hot sauce...CHIPOTLE flavored hot sauce. (I happen to be addicted to the Tabasco brand one)

I put it on almost everything; scrambled eggs, chili, pizza, any Mexican dish I make, and sometimes I even sprinkle it straight on a tortilla chip instead of salsa. There is something about that chipotle flavor that I cannot get enough of. It makes my nose run like crazy but I don't care.

I used to be a Frank's Red Hot kind of gal, but after having this chipotle sauce, I can't go back.
Sorry, Frank. :(
You're still tasty though.

And that's my addiction, er..."fav" of the week! Try it--if you can handle the spice.

In other news, I have a St. Patrick's Day party to go to on Saturday. I'm supposed to wear something green, but I decided to make something green instead: a lima bean dip.
My hubby is horrified (obviously not a lima bean fan), but I think it will be quite tasty with some pita chips.
I'll let you know.

Have a great weekend!!

Do you like spicy food? Do you have a favorite condiment you put on everything?

Ewww! On both the lima dip and the hot sauce. *shudder*
We go through a ton of ranch dressing. *grin*
Have an awesome weekend and good luck with that dip!

I like spicy food! I do not like Tabasco sauce though. It tastes too vinegary to me. My dad and my sister, especially my sister, are obsessed with Tabasco! They've had every single flavor. And I joke that my sister even puts Tabasco on her cereal, but I'm afraid that might be true. Haha!

I'm a Frank's Red Hot gal!

Have a fun St. Patrick's Day weekend, Jennifer!!

Even on pizza?? Hmm, that probably explains why you are the way you are!! My brother-in-law is a hot sauce fanatic. Have fun on Green Day!

I read somewhere that the chemical reaction triggered by eating hot sauce makes the body release a sort of natural pain killer that makes us feel good. Oh and by the way, I dislike lima beans, but I'd try the dip, since every other bean dip I've tried is good!

I'm ALL ABOUT the lima bean dip (you'll have to share the recipe), but the hot sauce? Not so much. I'm just learning to like spicy food though, so maybe some day.

We go through Chipotle Tobasco like water around here. Heck, I'm surprised my hubs doesn't put it on ice cream. Seems like he puts it on everything else.

Ice cream! Now there's a thought...

My DD is a hot sauce fan! Is the bean dip hot? I'd eat it. Cold? Um..probably not.

Have a great time!

I love spicy foods, especially Thai foods, but I'm not a fan of eating anything that's so hot it verges on painful. That lima bean dip sounds good to me. I even like dried limas to make baked beans.

I live on fire! My stomach must be lined with asbestos.

I especially love the flavor of chipotle. I'll have to look for this next time I'm out.

Wow! That's spicy!!!

I put butter on everything. It's really bad for my waist, but so tasty. ;)

I have a tiny bottle of that hot sauce that I got on the cruise, but it isn't chipotle. I don't care for anything too hot. I do like the mild flavors of peppers.

My universal matter used to be Ketchup, but now it is Ranch dressing. Who knows where it will go from there? Maybe hot sauce.

I am soooo not a hot sauce girl - give me a nice sweet b-b-q sauce and I'll be all over that.
Can't wait to hear how the lima bean dip goes over!

Don't tell anyone it is lima bean dip. Make them try it first.

I like spicy foods but not super hot.

The jalapeno flavor Tabasco is tasty and spicy, too. I haven't tried the chipotle yet.

You could cheat with that bean dip, although I checked the recipe and it sounds good. Green food coloring in regular hummus might taste real similar.

Happy Weekend!

I think I might have to give this a try. Don't mind a little heat in my food sometimes. :)

I'm now going to google chipotle and lima beans :-)
