Misc Monday

Happy Monday, all!

This weekend was super busy! Kiddo is playing softball now (she might actually pitch the next game) and we celebrated the kiddo's birthday with family on Sunday too. (I didn't think it was possible but my family seems to be getting even more bizarre as we're all getting older. Plenty of good book fodder)

Some things going on:

1) working on a new book. (YAY)
Actually, it's an old book (one of the first books I'd written) that I always loved but can see now all the mistakes I had made with it way back then.

Can this manuscript be saved?

We'll see...

2) changing my blogging schedule to just Mondays until further noticed.
WHY?
**I joined two group blogs so I don't want to spread myself too thin
**it's kind of much with all the other social networks out there
**it's time for a change

3) went to look at a rescue yesterday. The dog was a nice dog but...not for us. I am pretty confident he will be adopted by someone.
Still looking.

4) still loving the guinea pig. Honestly, he is SO sweet. I never thought I would love a ...rodent, but there ya go. I love him. :-)

Look at that face!
Have a great week!

What's happening with you?
Any changes to your blogging schedule?

Aww, cute guinea pig. :)

I pretty much blog on Wednesdays now, with the occasional additional post if there's a special reason. I love the blogosphere, but it can be time-consuming, and I really wanted to spend more time actually writing books.

I try to blog at least 3 days a week, Mon, Wed & Fri. I'm still trying to concentrate on keeping a schedule so that I can spend time writing as well as blogging.

I've been toying with the idea of once a week too.

I had to take off two weeks to get everything done recently. But this is spring and the busiest time of the year for me so I wasn't surprised.

Happy birthday and congrats to your kiddo! I hope she pitches the next game.

He is adorable!

Except for this month, I only blog two days a week because otherwise I am spread too thin.

I can so relate. I cut down to 1 day a week after Christmas. I love connecting, but gotta get those stories written. :)

I'm glad to hear that you still like the rodent. My son's getting closer and closer to getting a guinea pig--almost saved all the money he needs. Of course, now he's talking about how guinea pigs like to be in groups...

Good luck with your old ms. I pulled one out of my drawers (that's sounds crass lol) anywho...I think it can be saved so I'm rooting for you!

Makes total sense why you went to Mondays only. For now, I'm staying the same but I like the idea of a group blog and then lowering the days on the personal blog. Hmmm... ;)

Your guinea pig is cute. His face reminds me of an Oreo cookie.

I've also gone to Monday only posts on my blog. It seems like it was the day I was getting the most traffic, and it was getting to be too much to keep up with.

I had a guinea pig a loooooong time ago. I liked him, but wished he was a cat. I was always afraid I'd break him or something!

Good luck on your writing projects.

Cute guinea pig! No pets for us right now.

Yes, I started blogging again recently after a break. I don't have a schedule yet, but I'm enjoying posting when I have the time or the want :)

I don't think it's weird to love a rodent. (Your pig is adorable.) I had three gerbils at different times and I loved them, especially the two that were mine.

I hope you rescue your story. What fun it will be to work on something that you love.

Hope you find a cute dog that's perfect for you!

Love only posting on Tuesdays now (but I'm taking a week off after tom.).

I've thought of revisiting some of my earlier works but I'm a little scared to read my writing. Yikzo!

I'm on Mondays for now too. I've given myself a writing goal and can't get it all done and blog too. As for new pets, no. We lost our kitty last month. At the moment I can't contemplate another.

You always sound so busy. I have to agree about that guinea pig's face. Tres cute!

Rescue dogs are amazing. The best rescue dog in the world will find you. Keep looking!

I will be cutting way back on blogging beginning in May. If I could figure out how to go to one day a week, I would do that, too.

Hi, Jennifer,

Like you, I should be cutting back to blogging, but I guess I'll do that after the A-Z ends. Gotta check out Carol's post below.

I can totally relate to the time consuming factor of blogging.

Awww, that rodent really does have a compelling face! I think the bizarrness in my family has capped out, there hasn't been new crop of strange lately, which is...strange!

Hope the kiddo had a good birthday!

He's quite photogenic. :)

I switched gears with the blogging at the beginning of the year. I'm posting twice a week instead of three times. Like you said, it gets to be a bit much.
