More Misc Monday

Hey, all! Happy Monday!

Why did I get a puppy again? He's such a... well, a PUPPY. LOL But he's already going to the door  when he wants to go potty, and we've worked on "sit" and "lie down", which was a nice trick to impress the in-laws on Father's Day. :-)

Anyhew...in case you missed this picture on Twitter, I gave Sox a "stuffy" to help him sleep in his crate and he's really taken to it.

And here's some more Misc on this Monday:

**I made Sox these liver treats from Dog Treat Kitchen.com ( I know. I have issues) and he LOVES them. I use them for training and sometimes I mix it in his kibble.

**I took my kiddo to see Bethany Hamilton this weekend. She was in town at the Ocean City Tabernacle for a speaking event. My kiddo LOVES her. Oh, and in case you don't know who she is, she was the surfer that the movie SOUL SURFER was made about. SOUL SURFER is the true story of competitive teen surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm in a shark attack and courageously overcame all odds to become a champion again, inspiring millions worldwide through her sheer determination and unwavering faith.
I couldn't believe the turnout! We got there over a half hour early and the auditorium (which seats 1000) was already filled. One of my friends whose hubby works for the FCA Surf (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) gave my kiddo her seat--which was row 2 right in the center. I was so happy for my daughter.
(The hubby and I were in the back sitting on the radiator) LOL

**My WIP is coming along nicely. I just finished up my chapter 8.
(I should have about 13 or 14 chapters total)

**And lastly, in case you didn't see on FB, I let my publicist at Montlake Romance know of my Golden Quill win and she was sweet enough to send me flowers!!
Aww...

And that's about it from me. :)

Anything new going on with you?
Do you make your own doggie treats? Have you heard of Bethany Hamilton? How's your WIP coming along?

That picture of Sox is so cute. The flowers are lovely too.
My husband makes biscuits for our dog and we use them for snacks and training.

Congrats again on the Golden Quill award. You are smokin', woman!

Re: Sox
Oy! Puppies drive me crazy until they're several months old. But soon all the chewing and accidents will be a memory.

I usually make liver biscuits for my dogs, but I'm going to try this liver treat. It's a lot easier than my recipe. :)

I've never made a dog treat. I think I'll give these a try.

Sox is so cute!! Bless you for getting a puppy. I couldn't do it. lol.

Glad your daughter had a great time. What an inspiration.

Lovely flowers, and a well deserved win. :)

I've never made puppy treats, unless you count Puppy Chow (that human food made of cereal, powdered sugar and chocolate! yum). I've only seen a trailer for Bethany's movie. But that is soooo cool that you got to see her. I hope that was fun! What a very very nice publisher. Love the flowers!

When our dog was a pup, he'd "rescue" his stuffed toy from the crate as soon as she was let out...like a true marine. :)

Sox is absolutely adorable. (But you knew that.) Not only did I make treats for our dogs, when they weren't feeling up to snuff, I cooked them ground beef and rice. They LOVED it. Almost as much as they loved getting the turkey innards cooked with gravy. I swear, we had one dog who must have been able to read a calendar. He always seemed to know when it was Thanksgiving, and would hound me (HA!) relentlessly until I put those innards and gravy into his bowl.

Nah, we don't spoil our pets.

Congrats again on that award. Beautiful flowers!

I have heard of Bethany, and I'm happy you all got to see her! Congrats again on the award (the flowers are so pretty!) and on your puppy "smarts". Sounds like things are going as well as things can go with a new puppy! :)
