Summer is NOT over

Happy Monday, all!

Everybody around me keeps talking about summer as if it's in the past. "This was a weird summer", "Summer went by so fast", "It's getting cooler out summer is over".

Uh...it's early August, people. Summer is not over.

Besides,  I'm in no rush to see it go or start the new school year. I find now that I'm getting older, I don't like to rush these things. (Because that means I AM GETTING OLDER)
And we can't have that. LOL

The hubby plans on "cheating" this week from work a few days so we do some biking around town, spend some time on the beach, and even go out to breakfast and lunch a few days. It'll be like having a stay-cation. :)

I plan on maximizing the most out of these last few weeks of August and enjoying the rest of the summer.

One last thing.  I was on the beach yesterday with my family and we see like five guys walking down the beach in different color speedos. To top it off, they were holding shaker weights (I kid you not) and it said "bootylicious" on their rump.

I started cracking up. (I'm sure they were doing it on a dare or joke) so naturally I HAD to take a picture.

The things you see on the Jersey shore...

And I think that's about enough from me.

Is your summer over or are you still enjoying?

Yay, love your title! This week I'm going to a cottage on a beach with writing friends. All romance writers. I'm sure seeing those guys on our beach would inspire a few story twists. LOL

I too hate to think of summer as over! We're building a house--we need warm weather as long as we can! Love the picture BTW. It had to be a dare:))

I would've laughed at those five guys, too!

We still have three weeks of summer. Maybe more.

LOL! Now, that's some, um, interesting scenery you have there.

Hold onto summer for as long as you can! :)

Not that I want to rush the year, but I could do without August. The heat is brutal in Texas this time of year.

But a staycation sounds like a great way to end the summer.

Alas, for us, school starts on Wednesday, so summer is pretty much over (though there ARE plusses to that). And AWESOME picture of the bootylicious band. :)

I know people get frustrated but I just go by what it's doing outside. And we've had leaves falling since July 17th. And today is very fall-like too. But I love the fall, so I'm okay with it.

Enjoy the rest of your summer.

People who make these comments have got to be moms with kids going to school. Because once the kids go back to school, summer is officially over LOL.

LOL!!! I love the booty shorts. I hope it was a dare.

I'm not ready for summer to be over yet either. I don't care how close the end might be coming!

Have fun on your stay-cation, and thanks for the Bliss link!
