Is it spring yet?

MENTAL STATUS: "Frustrated". This crazy weather is keeping me and my daughter sick. Every time I think we're all better, I start getting the "nose" thing, aches and the sore throat. WAH!

Even though I feel like I've been run over by a reindeer, I must venture out today and get food. The refrigerator is in very sad shape. It's almost embarrassing. So I'll keep this short.

I'm freezing. Yesterday it was one degree in my town in New Jersey. Yes, I know it could be worse. I lived in New England for five years, so I KNOW what real cold feels like, thank you very much.

But I don't like it. So there.

It doesn't help that my house--a rather large 2 story--is extremely cold on the first floor (my hubby and I had thick socks on and they were still cold!) and suffocatingly hot upstairs (we're sleeping like it's summertime).

And I'm wondering why I keep getting sick?

The only bright spot to this cold weather is I'm doing VERY well with my writing challenge. I knocked off almost another 500 words. YAY!

Is it cold where you are?

I hear ya on the bug that just won't go away! You're not alone!

Here in Toronto we're supposed to reach a balmy -5(23) today, with a wind chill of -10(14). That's 10 -15 degrees warmer than it's been for the last few weeks. But I guess we really can't complain. Winter didn't start until mid January!

Of course I have to rub it in -- the temperature hit 63 yesterday in metro Atlanta. But the changeability of the weather seems to make the germs grow and get people sick. It doesn't stay cold long enough to kill them.

Our house is the same way. We had to close the vents upstairs to try and keep the heat downstairs in the family room. You could turn into an icicle while you watch TV!

We are bobbing back and forth here in windy Oklahoma. Tuesday it was 68, Wednesday was 52 but today is supposed to maybe reach 42. At this point we're just happy that it isn't raining ice cubes. I jinxed us about being sick. Mom came down with bad stomach virus and now both boys feel bad...I'm wearing a bandana!!

poor Jennifer,
The weather in Utah is pretty warm. Almost all snow is melted on the ground, I even took my baby to the park. I hope it gets warmer soon back east...the weather sounds brutal.

Awww...how I wish it was cold here is South Africa. For the past couple of weeks its been like a heat wave with temperatures between 28 degrees celsius and 32. We are melting this side and I so long for the cooler months. Pity it does not snow here, though.
*sigh*
Hope you and your daughter feel better soon.
