Weekend Recap # 8 (?)

MENTAL STATUS: "Overwhelmed". Attempted to strip wallpaper border from my upstairs bathroom this weekend, only to discover that the wall had not been primed before it had been hung. As a result, it's coming off ONE millimeter at a time.

Well, this weekend the hubby and I celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary. Yes, it's true. Lucky 12. We've known each other a long time. And I STILL find him to be the funniest and most thoughtful man I know.

(He's a real keeper!)

We decided to celebrate our anniversary on Friday, since we already had the grandparents coming over to babysit. We had a a few parties to go to, but we decided to cut them both short and have a bit of a late dinner. It was quite the whirlwind tour before we had to make it on time for our reservations. We literally were at 3 places in the span of 2 1/2 hours. But we had a BLAST doing it!

Saturday was another beautiful day, so after the hubby suprised me with the LARGEST bouquet of flowers I've ever seen, we headed down to the beach, where we met up with some friends.

I'm afraid no large masterpiece sandcastles were made, though. Too windy.

But I'll tell you what DID happen. A seagull fight (yes, a FIGHT) started--of course--right next to where I was sitting. I guess it was so windy, it sent the loser (I assume it was the loser) flying right into my head, knocking my visor off and sending my hair in disarray--much to the amusement of my family and friends.

So that was all good. (That's sarcasm, by the way)

Sunday was pretty much the same. Beach/tickling each other relentlessly when the other person wasn't looking and singing Happy Anniversary/Ice Cream/BBQ/Napolean Dynamite. (In that order) LOL! I fear for the sanity of my daughter sometimes.

Anyhew, in a nutshell, we had a fun weekend.

How was YOUR weekend?

That sounds like a wonderful weekend! You're so lucky to live at the beach.

My weekend was boring beyond belief, but this coming one should be fun. My husband is going to North Carolina to visit his father. I'm staying here to go to my Georgia Romance Writers meeting and hang out with one of my girlfriends.
