Blogging Challenge Day 2!

Hey, all! It's day two of my blogging challenge, and ... so far so good! :-) B: B is for Birthday! Today is my kiddo's birthday! Woo-hoo!

She's a big third grader, but not too big to go to take her doll to the American Girl Store in NYC today! (Which I mentioned last post) It's going to be a LONG day for me, but she deserves a nice trip like this.

So... in honor of her big girl birthday, I would like to share some random things about her:

1) Once, when she was three and saw a port-o-potty at the playground, she referred to it as a litter box. (We don't have a cat) :)

2) She recently asked me what the term was for an orphanage for old people. I was like, "You mean a retirement home?" She was, "Oh, yeah, that's it!" Orphanage for old people. That still cracks me up. LOL!

3)She loves soccer, basketball, and surfing.

4) Her favorite foods are sushi, fish tacos, and cupcakes. (like her mama) :-)

5) She used to call Wonton soup: One time soup. LOL

6) She LOVES to read. Her favorite books are the Dear Dumb Diary series.

and (as I always tell her)

7) She is the best gift I ever received.

** will be away all day, so I'll catch up on blogs later this weekend.

Any April birthdays in your family?

Love the 'one time soup'. It's funny how kids hear things sometimes. My, now grown two boys, were the same way.

Happy Birthday to her!
Kids are very funny. I keep a notebook where I write all funny things my girls do or say, so I don't forget.

Happy Birthday to your little lady! Have a wonderful time at the American Girl store!!!

My father-in-law's birthday is the 11th, and my Poppop celebrates his 84th birthday on the 21st! So there'll be fun get-togethers coming up in my family! :)

The litter box comment was the best! But her orphanage connection was brilliant.

Thanks for helping me reach my goal in the Library Loving Challenge at the Write Game this year. I really appreciated your support.

Aww! My princess is 9 y/o and because of the cake you showed on your blog last year (that you baked for DD) I had to bake one for mine too. If I tell her about your shopping trip, I might end up in New York. Probably not a bad deal. ;)

Ohhh... I wish my two grown up (21 and 20) girls were little again. I really do! They had A.G. dolls, too. Have the most fun ever!!! Sending cyber confetti your way!

Happy birthday to the little one...that's a really fun store for a little girl...my daughter loved the books, but she was never much of a doll person. Hope you have a great day!
