Hemp seed, Egrets and Other Misc Ramblings
Happy Monday, all!
I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that my clothes are so baggy. I actually lost a whole size (hold the applause), but because my clothes don't fit right, nobody knows. LOL
I've been really in to working out with weights and the days that I do, I like to make sure I supplement my protein so I actually build muscle. One of the things I've been having is a protein shake sprinkled with a little hemp seed.
Yes, hemp seed. It's pretty tasty. They look like sesame seeds and they have nice nutty flavor. It can be sprinkled on almost anything. I get mine from my health food store.

In other news, I went to shut the sliders in my kitchen yesterday afternoon and when I looked in my backyard, I was like, "Gah!"
There was a HUGE bird.
My neighbor thinks it's an egret.
Hubby managed to guide it out of the yard, but it went directly under our neighbor's porch. We're going to call animal control because it's still there this morning. I'm wondering if it's hurt. We'll see what they say.

And lastly, I woke up to ANOTHER surprise. LOL
Amazon has lowered the price of my sweet romance KISSING KENDALL to 99 cents again.
(Don't know for how long) It's their doing, not mine.
And if you don't want to buy it, I would so appreciate it if you could TWEET about it instead:
KISSING KENDALL by @jennifershirk is only 99cents on @amazon! http://www.amazon.com/Kissing-Kendall-Maritime-Entangled-ebook/dp/B00BFQAPVM/ref=sr_1_4_title_0_main?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1376907033&sr=1-4
THANK SO MUCH for your support!
And that's all from me today!
Have a great week!
Have you ever heard of or tried HEMP SEED?
Have you ever had to call animal control before?

I've been reading a lot about hemp fiber and hemp seed in my homesteading blogs.
It's a pretty useful plant.
Re: I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that my clothes are so baggy.
I wish I had that problem. LOL.
Hemp seed, huh? I'll have to give that a try.
Hope the bird (whatever it turns out to be) is okay.
And yay for the KISSING KENDALL sale--I'll let my romance-lovin' buddies know. :)
I'll have to look for hemp seed at my local health food store. I never knew you could eat the seeds.
I hope animal control catches the bird. It sounds like it's injured.
Hemp seed, huh? Um, no, can't say that I've ever tried that. Doesn't that like grow... hemp? HA! Whatever works; whatever works
Congrats on losing a size. However, there's a very good chance that I've found the weight you've lost, so thanks a lot.
Now, to be serious, thank you so much for the wonderful review on Amazon. I reeeeeeeally appreciate it. You made my day.
I don't think I've seen hemp seed at our health food store. Interesting!
I think I have a package of those but had no idea what to do make of them. I guess I'll get to sprinkling!
Congrats on your healthy eating and exercising! I haven't tried hemp seed. I put flax seed in my NutriBullet drink every morning. Hemp seed would probably be good in that, too!
Happy reading and writing! from Laura Marcella @ Wavy Lines
Awwww hope that wonderful bird is ok!
Yay for your weight loss! Good for you!! Well I think a new wardrobe is in order...!
:-)
Take care

Congrats and keep at it. What is your ideal end goal?
Good job you! The beak on that bird looks different than an egret but from the back it does look like one. I just heard of hemp recently.
I once had to call animal control on an injured cat that wandered into our yard.
I'm going to check out Amazon on Kissing Kendall.
Just bought the book. Can't wait to read it.
Hi Jennifer, I've never heard of hemp seeds, but then again it was probably on Dr.Oz and I missed it :) I'm trying to lose weight as well & these little tips are always helpful. Thanks!
Congrats on your success! Will have to give hemp seeds a try. Thanks for the tip! :)
Congrats! Never heard of hemp seeds. We had to call animal control one Christmas Eve when we trapped a possum in the garage.
I used to use hemp milk in my coffee back when I couldn't handle dairy. I've also had it in crackers and cereal. Great stuff. I love health food stores :).
